Sounds like a win for Bipartisanship and about ***** time.

Will be interesting to see what the fallout will be though, considering all the ***** talking MAGA hardliners have been doing to McCarthy in the run up before this.

Government Funding Standoff Cuts Off Ukraine Cash for First Time Since Start of War

by Sean Moran

A vast bipartisan majority in the House voted on Saturday for a stopgap spending bill that does not include Ukraine aid funding, a first amid America’s generous support for Ukraine’s conflict with Russia. The House passed a stopgap spending bill that keeps government spending levels, otherwise known as a continuing resolution (CR). The CR will keep the government open for 45 days. Although this will not serve as a long-term solution for government funding, the CR will not have any Ukraine aid.

ITs reading like there was a side deal to keep the cash flowing to Ukraine.

Thanks Colorado.

On Wednesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Katy Tur Reports,” Sen. Michael Bennet (D-CO) said that he is “definitely” willing to shut down the government if a bill to keep it open doesn’t include Ukraine funding.

Host Katy Tur asked, “Are you ready to hold up a bill that comes to the Senate that does not include that Ukraine funding, potentially to shut down the government?”

Bennet answered, “I definitely am. I definitely am.

20 GOP senators led by Rick Scott vow to block bills not related to funding government

The Hill [DC], by Alexander Bolton

Facing a pileup of spending bills and a possible government shutdown, 20 Republican senators led by Sen. Rick Scott (Fla.) say they will delay any legislation moving on the Senate floor that does not relate directly to funding the government. Scott circulated a letter at the Senate Republican lunch Wednesday warning Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) that GOP lawmakers will not tolerate further delay to the annual appropriations bills, none of which has yet passed the Senate. “Nothing can stand in the way of this work. For this reason, we the undersigned senators pledge to withhold our support for any vote to proceed to items unrelated to appropriations
