I should also add that McBean have built a team for passing and for defending the pass. Under the right conditions, it’s a powerhouse. But maybe that needs some rethinking after this year.

DT has to be a priority this off-season Ed Oliver is not living up to his draft billing and Harry and Zimmer and Butler are just guys.

Said it before, but yesterday again brought it to light.  24-7 I still thought tds to end the half and start the second was in the cards.

But they were terrible.  Yes the weather was bad, but again, just so little from the offense when needed.

What's going on?

I said this in another thread and probably rightfully so got bashed for it, but I think Allen’s arm is overrated this year. He underthrows WRs on deep shots or cross field, or throws them low where they have to dive to the ground.

But to the OP I’d say:

1. The offensive line bad, and every other game they get dominated.

2. The stand pat method at the skill position players hasn’t been as effective. We are seeing Beasley lose a step, Sanders slowing down, Gabe Davis and Isaiah McKenzie turned into complementary pieces who aren’t ready to step in and fill those voids. In short, our player snap mix is worse, we’re getting less out of the same players.

To that point, Diggs is closer to 1,100 yards, instead of the 1,500 yards and the touchdown pace isn’t elite either.

3. An add-on to #2 - You stand pat and opposing Defensive Coordinators lock onto what you are doing and start to slow you down. The jet sweep action comes and goes this season, we haven’t run as much 4 and 5 wide sets since Pittsburgh/OLine debacle.

4. NFL Fringe players who get on the field - Gilliam, Sweeney, Ford (not NFL), Boettger, Zack Moss.

5. McDermott is losing some of his risk taking to attempt field goals.

Instead of starting another thread, I'd just revive this.

The offense, which looked fixed vs. NE, again just not what one expects from Buffalo.

Allen was bad yesterday (except for his legs).

Receivers don't seem to get much open field and yet again the weather sucked.

Something about playing at home and not having a home field advantage this year too.

Watched some of Rogers last night and just how good he & Adams are.  Then see Burrows and Chase (a rookie) in open field, and again want to see that with Allen.  Brady with another 400 yard game too.

Still high on the Bills, but this won't do in the playoffs.

Everything positive vs. NE, now you wonder a little about.

On the plus side Singletary is giving them a good running game. That will help take the pressure off Allen. It wasn't a good throwing day for Allen and that will have to improve. I am encouraged by the running game getting better.
