Has NFL "ownership" of gambling sites corrupted the league

The contact wasn't the source of that flag.  He was reaching for his flag and had his hand on the flag prior to the contact with the player.  The player said something to some one IMO.

That's what the official said after the fact, but what was he waiting for?  He had his hand on the flag watching the guy jog to his sideline but waited until the "hip check"  to throw it.  Didn't look right to me.

I don't have proof of anything but these officials don't make a lot of money and with gambling now encouraged by the league, it's not difficult to believe refs can be made some cash offers.

They average $205K plus per games if they do playoffs, plus a 401K.  Plus they have other jobs (usually high paying).  They're doing ok for a couple of months a year.

So, to recap:

The NFL in fact does not own gambling sites.

The ref did not flag a guy for bumping him.

This is just another in a rash of ref/conspiracy threads that too many here pretend didn't exist a year a go, 2 years ago, 5 years ago.....

League officials are changing the outcome of games.  Congress may need to look at this.

Congress will not look into this. The NFL makes no claims of fairness. That's exactly why they classify themselves as purely an entertainment business, the same exact way the WWE does. Anybody fool enough to actually bet money on an NFL game deserves to lose their money

NFL is listed as "entertainment" not sure congress could do much.

Missed this before I posted but, exactly. Congress will look into the NFL the same time they look into wrestling being fake. They are the same thing.
