I think it’s a good idea, it’s a check system where subject matter can be reviewed and if needed added to or discarded. Again the example of common core comes to mind

Then do it at the school board meeting. Why should it be pulled after ONE parent comment?

Would you trust your barber to repair the timing belt on your car?

you get a second opinion if your primary is wrong? diagnosis?

Its gotta be interesting to be just smart enough to blindly trust anyone by degree.

“Insane agenda” is when you teach that Jackie Robinson experienced racism, amirite?

So if your talking CRT.  if the topic was say Rosa Parks. the lesson plan would be around Claudette Colvin and why everyone remembers Rosa, but not Claudette.

If it was Jacki Robenson, it might be Moses Fleetwood Walker and why that was not the same as Jacki in a different time period.

But just imagine they are not teaching about Rosa or Jacki.

So should people without kids be free from paying school taxes?

In my opinion yes , but that’s a different issue altogether. Change the school funding formula for sure. There are many ideas out there, but one thing is certain. Libs believe THEY know better than the parents and have an agenda they want carried out no matter what.

they have every right to send their kids to private schools if they disagree with what is being taught by mainstream educators.  I hear there's even a private school run by avowed nazis.  or they can homeschool.

So you support vouchers. now?

And would add that most that can, send their kids to private.  in the big picture, our public schools been failing kids for decades.

So when you go to a restaurant and the cashier can't make change or speak an understandable sentence, who is most to blame?  People would need to be crazy to go into teaching in this toxic environment.

All our institutions are built on the reliance of people with specialized roles to fill those roles. I don’t want morons with room temperature IQ making decisions on the education of my child.

Was the parents comment correct? It could be a bug in the system that will get sorted out

The parent is a special snowflake whose feelings are hurt because her kid has to learn that racism exists.

No.  I believe we all benefit from having an educated population and should therefore share the cost of public education.  I do realize that generally education is a higher priority for liberals than conservatives, however.

Liberals, for the most part. They don’t care if the kids can read or write : if they can’t they just dumb it down and pass them. Standards be damned. Eliminate honors courses. Just be sure they know pronouns and celebrate LBGTQwhatever. Be certain they believe Trump and the USA are bad, and that pursuit of excellence is racist. Great job Libs !

Your belief is wrong , though. Libs don’t care about education and that’s obvious. Their answer to failure in education is always to remove or lower standards. They care about indoctrination. Sharing the cost of education is one thing , but the current method is a failure. Vouchers are probably a good idea.

Across the board our graduates are falling behind the rest of the world. and we keep lowering standards and push social wedge topics.

Parents can have a say at school board meetings.

They should not be able to delete parts of the curriculum just because it hurts their feelings, like this law allows.

But Libs are all about feelings ! You know if you’re a man but feel like being a girl that means you’re a girl by golly!

Are you okay with the airline Pilot on your flight getting the job because they’re a person of color rather than the most qualified ?
Unfortunately those with room temperature IQs are making decisions on educational curricula across the country. BLM, LGTBQ, pronouns, “ institutional racism “ etc etc. Reading, writing and Arithmetic are out the window. They may have their useless degrees, but these are some very dumb people.

Statue of David is fine. It’s a work of high art. I don’t agree with any Republican who has an issue with the statue of David. I mean, it’s not pornography.

I disagree very much with the actions of school boards in California to lower standards, yes. What does this have to do with idiot Karen’s using this Florida law to ban anything they don’t like?
