B-Man Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Best bad headline from the Hegsethathon. The award goes to The New Republic: "Hegseth Summoned Military Leaders to Say 'FAFO' in Disturbing Speech." I think it's ludicrous for a journalistic article to call it a "disturbing speech." Who is disturbed? The headline writer? Were the military leaders disturbed? All of them? Some of them? Don't create fake objectivity. Someone needs to have been disturbed. I want to know who and why. From the article: “To our enemies: FAFO,” Hegseth said, using an acronym that translates to “***** around and find out.” Hegseth ordered hundreds of U.S. military officials around the globe to meet him at a spontaneous assembly in Virginia.... The message shocked members of the U.S. military, who could not recall another instance in which a defense secretary summoned so many commanders for a sudden in-person meeting—especially without a clear rationale. Was it a "disturbing speech" because of what Hegseth said or was a "disturbing speech" because it was disturbing to have to travel and sit in the audience to hear? B-Man Posted October 6 Posted October 6 CHANGE: Washington Post Goes On Firing Spree, Reportedly Terminates Over A Dozen Employees. “The Washington Post ignited a firestorm inside its own newsroom after reportedly axing more than a dozen editorial staffers, according to multiple reports. NBC News reporter Mark Segraves said that Marc Fisher — a 39-year veteran of the paper and one of its most recognized voices — was among those terminated.” https://dailycaller.com/2025/10/03/washington-post-layoffs-terminates-opinion-editors/ .

I always hate to see people lose their job, but it’s the Opinion section and one guy has been there nearly 40 years. Maybe time for some new blood? 1
B-Man Posted yesterday at 06:30 PM Posted yesterday at 06:30 PM GO BEYOND THE SCARY HEADLINES: Pentagon Reporters Are Losing Their Press Credentials Today: Here’s What’s Really Happening. “The new rules will restrict reporters’ physical access to people and locations within the Pentagon, reorganizing newsroom space in the building, and, in some situations, reporters will require an escort to move around certain parts of the building. This is standard procedure in most military installations, and, for that matter, just about any private company or organization in the country.” https://pjmedia.com/tim-o-brien/2025/10/15/pentagon-reporters-are-losing-their-press-credentials-today-heres-whats-really-happening-n4944881 But these 'principled' media outlets won't agree to this, so out they go. .
B-Man Posted yesterday at 07:02 PM Posted yesterday at 07:02 PM (edited) As we told you earlier this week, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth wasn't exactly upset to see many media outlets protest the Pentagon's new press policy by wrapping themselves in the First Amendment and refusing to sign. Hegseth waved goodbye. Here are a couple of examples: When other credentialed outlets and journalists spread lies about the Russia collusion hoax, or the Covington kids hoax, or the Kavanaugh rape hoax, or the Ukraine impeachment hoax, or the COVID-19 natural origin hoax, or the peaceful BLM riots hoax, or the suckers and losers hoax, or the Hunter Biden laptop hoax, or the Biden’s-brain-is-totally-fine-you-guys hoax, The Federalist fearlessly reported the truth. Corrupt corporate journalists published lies and regurgitated regime propaganda and were given awards. We published facts and the truth, and the U.S. federal government responded by waging a global war of illegal censorship against The Federalist. They profited from lies, while we were punished for reporting the truth. Where were these self-styled First Amendment defenders when we were illegally censored and targeted for debunking Deep State lies and hoaxes? Many of them not only refused to defend us, but cheered the illegal censorship efforts against us. NBC News, for example, colluded with Big Tech to demonetize and deplatform us for criticizing the government and the corrupt corporate news media. So you’ll have to forgive our skepticism of corporate media’s ostensible new love of press freedoms and the First Amendment. We actually read through the new Department of War media access guidelines, and we found zero new restrictions on the ability of journalists to report on or criticize the government. Many corporate journalists eager to grandstand will claim otherwise without evidence, but we will show you what the actual document says. MORE AT https://x.com/seanmdav/status/1978494207032541682?
