You are incorrect.  happened as described.  lots of "macho" maga men showing their "power" by revving their engines or blowing through a busy intersection, usually in a pos vehicle.  the guy saying get a life was deliberately menacing.  he said more but I couldn't hear it above the chants.  My  friend told me forget about it.  she felt she'd won that little battle and she had.  throughout the event it was clear that one side had decorum and decency and one side had neither.  Such is the make up of America today.

I believe you're thinking of Mayberry.  That's what doesn't exist.  Hazard is very real and worse than depicted in the show.

What were you demonstrating about?

Sounds like plenty of people need to get a life.

So you exercised your right to free speech by chanting "this is what democracy looks like" and the gentleman in the pickup exercised his by revving his engine.  Now had he thrown a monkey wrench or a sandwich or something else out his window at you that would be different.  But he didn't so no biggee I would think.

He also said something that Fergs was unable to hear due to the crowd numbering in the tens to low twenties.  It could have been “Wow, I’m really low on gas” or something sinister like “Get a grip.”.   Best to assume it was more menacing dialogue.

As far as your link goes, my favorite was the cartoon of Christi Norm reading Old Yeller.

That one is pretty funny.

The amount of hot air spent here trying to mock or dismiss Fergs little protest is amazing. Like, who cares? You all remember all the Tea Party cranks? The right to peaceful protest is one of the best things about America.

It’s not the protest. It’s him. He brings a ridiculous combination of 68yo beta male and 16yo schoolgirl to everything he posts. It’s risible.

Agreed about the right to protest, and I respect that he took the time to go.  However, beyond that one of the other great things about America is the absolute, inalienable right for one guy to bust the balls of another guy for any reason at any time.

Besides, Fergie has directed some mockery my way, and I didn’t need some Amish school marm librarian to come up in here and chastise him on my account*.

*More ball busting here, Andy, I don’t think you’re really an Amish school marm librarian

I especially like the geriatric libnuts doing the demonstrating. It's nice that they get to relive their youth.

I'll support farmers over whatever lab stuff they pump out any day of the week.

That is your choice! But don’t ban the stuff.

Even this Never Trumper has to admit that sometimes he has a point.

The Smithsonian museums have descended into Museums of Woke Culture. Enough about the horrors of slavery! We should at least have an exhibit about how modern-day Mississippi is quite a lot nicer than modern-day Guinea.

Likewise, I went to the Holocaust Museum. It opens with a display of the shoes of concentration camp victims, the sheer immensity of the display making its point in the way that a mere number on a wall can't. But where are the shoes of the Germans who suffered economic deprivation at the hands of the allies? Where are the displays showing the technological advancements of the National Socialist era? The VW, finally making cars affordable for the masses? The rocket technology? The eye-color changing genetics research of Dr. Mengele? I found the whole museum a bit depressing, and a whole lot one-sided. There really wasn't enough about the American heroism and, of course, the heroism of our friends the Russians.  I would like to see the entire focus changed from one of victimology to one of triumphalism. Hell, just call it the Trump Museum of Winning. At least we could make some money in the gift shop that way.

That’s a lot of typing for something that’s not very interesting or entertaining. Maybe shoot for pithy in the future.
