Trump Equals Fascism

Prosecute!

Not only did the mob’s attack result in deadly violence, it also sought to overthrow our democracy. It was in every sense of the word sedition, as defined in federal law:

If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.

Which makes an interesting case for putting Trump on trial. Let the evils of the old order take up the time usually reserved for the opposition to attack the sitting president and instead force them to defend Trump's fascist actions. Let the trial begin!

i think trying him would be a mistake. it’s just grows his martyrdom amongst his crazies.  If you’re Democrats, keeping him relevant is the worst thing you can do, and if you’re  Trump, it’s what he wants more than anything.

the best thing they could do is turn off his microphone.

The majority that voted for Trump were voting against, higher taxes, more expensive gas, greater federal control, pro choice, certain approaches to foreign policy(perceived or real), green new deals, second amendment perspectives, etc. they don’t like him, they just like how they feel liberal policies impact them a whole lot less.

get back to policy and let Trump fade away as an icon of nothing at all

You have me thinking here.  I'll bet he resigns and Pence pardons him.  The House is threatening to vote to impeach him next week.  If they do, then there will be a Senate trial overseen by, guess who, Chuck Shumer.  They will be able to subpoena ANYONE they want, AND ask them ANYTHING they want.  That's just a TERRIBLE proposition for Trump.  Absolute WORST CASE SCENARIO.  Imagine Shumer going after him, because he don't give even a single F.  Could you imagine the stuff they could discover.  They could ask about Russia, Ukraine, you name it. ANYTHING! Trump has zippo leverage right now.  ZERO.  He is either going to do what the Democrats tell him, or go the route I first proposed.  We've all been wanting to say this for a looong time, but this time THEY GOT HIM.

Thank you.

I'll wait for the examples of the fascism I live under as I head back to my 11 month quarantine.

Trying to overturn a democratic election and murdering those you disagree with is the DEFINITION of fascism.

It is absolutely never a mistake to prosecute a criminal.

For 4 years the attitude towards him is hope he stops.

It doesn't work.

This is far worse than it is initially being viewed.

It appears to have been an organized and paid for event, rather than organic.

Thru all Constitutional means of the process.

If they weren't Constitutional and something was not in line with that process than where were the impeachment articles before a few hundred lunatics broke into the Capitol to.......what exactly?

Take selfies and break stuff?

Nice coup.  Where are the charges of "conspiracy" and treason against all those elected officials that weren't going to certify the vote as part of this "coup?"

Oh that's right.  You can't charge them.

It's part of the process as to how we elect a President here.

@TBBills doesn't know the difference between a coup and our own electoral process.

Have we charged the cops that let them thru the barricade with dereliction of duty while we're throwing charges around?

I don't know the difference? So pipe bombs, storming the Capitol, people getting killed.... That is your "own electoral process"

I am very glad Trump did not win than.

You Trumpsters are just getting worse and worse with your responses 🤣

Give me the list, give me examples like I've been doing for 4 years of Trump and the actions against him and I'll tell you if they qualify.

Maybe you should stop worrying about the definition and simply ask do these look like the actions of a free society.

Like I hate socialism.  If Twitter banned AOC because her rhetoric sounds straight outta Venezuela I will not be happy about it.

Based on their definition of inciting violence being unwanted, I'd think by definition every Marxist on their site should be banned also.

Violent revolution is a core tenet of Marxism.

You have no idea what you are talking about.... The free part of free society is the choice to use Twitter or not... Once you got past that FREE choice, you are beholden to the rules of that companies program.

Your logic suggests they should have kept letting ISIS use social media to recruit and brainwash people.

You are so used to being wrong all the time you think you might actually be right this time and it's funny.

This is your brain on Trump.

It's a cult.

It's years of /pol/ exposure and a president reinforcing the ***** insanity that these idiots splurge over on the chans.

Radicalized in America.

This guy believes that trying to blackmail someone into changing election results is part of a legal process. Therein lies the problem America now faces.
