Michael Flynn Led a 'Lock Her Up' Chant at the Republican Convention. Now He's Charged With Lying to the FBI

Flynn resigned as national security advisor in February after he reportedly misled Vice President Mike Pence on whether he had discussed Russian sanctions with the Russian Ambassador to the U.S., the same issue on which he is expected to plead guilty to lying to FBI investigators about.

I just hate partisan politics that severely divide the country.

Mike Flynn is a Democrat.  And he knows things. Should make you wonder what he knows about Hillary.

Comey’s Stalinists

by Jed Babbin

Original Article

Friday’s news brought the welcome report that U.S. Attorney John Durham, investigating possibly illegal misconduct by the FBI and CIA against the Trump campaign, is focusing on the FBI’s illegal acts in prosecuting President Trump’s first national security advisor, Gen. Michael Flynn. According to reports by the Washington Examiner and Fox News, Durham is looking closely at newly revealed documents in the Flynn case. As I wrote here on September 2, there was a conspiracy between the FBI and CIA to prevent Trump’s election and, when that failed, to interfere in his transition to the presidency. The conspiracy aimed at violating the civil rights of Trump

DID JOHN BRENNAN TWIST INTELLIGENCE ON RUSSIA?   Brennan398.jpg?resize=110,85&ssl=1

In January 2017, an Intelligence Community Assessment commissioned by Barack Obama concluded, among other things, that Russia participated in the 2016 presidential election in order to help candidate Donald Trump. No sensible person ever believed this, but a lot of Americans did. Now, the Epoch Times reports that a long-suppressed Inspector General’s report says that then-CIA Director John Brennan overruled intelligence analysts and dictated that implausible conclusion

{snip}

The report states that Brennan overruled agency analysts who wanted to include strong intelligence in the assessment to show that Russian President Vladimir Putin wanted Hillary Clinton to win the election, Fleitz says, citing conversations with House Intelligence Committee staffers. Brennan had also rejected analysts who wanted to strike weak intelligence from the report which suggested that Russia favored Trump, Fleitz said.

“So Brennan actually slanted this analysis, choosing anti-Trump intelligence and excluding anti-Clinton intelligence,” Fleitz told The Epoch Times.

The story is plausible because the Russians undoubtedly favored Hillary “Reset Button” Clinton over Donald “America First” Trump. That would have been true even if influential Russians had not greased the Clinton wheels with large contributions to the Clinton Foundation slush fund. It is also plausible because Brennan, who claims to be a former Communist but has never, to my knowledge, explained when or why he abandoned Marxist ideology, has shown himself to be utterly dishonest. Lying under oath to Congress is just one of his many falsehoods.

Maybe someday the whole truth behind the biggest scandal in American history will be told, but I don’t expect to live that long.

There's  the "p" word. Amazing how the Republicans have been a lot more vocal this past week. I have a feeling that things may not turn out so well for #TeamCoup after all.

NOW GOVERNMENT MUST MAKE MICHAEL FLYNN WHOLE:

Documents made public this week by Acting Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Richard Grenell made crystal clear that Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn was setup by the FBI, then falsely charged and unjustly prosecuted by the Department of Justice (DOJ). So the prosecution has been dropped.

But in the years since he was charged, Flynn’s life has been wrecked. His savings are gone, he has to sell his house, and who knows when he will be able to get a job. In a searing editorial, Issues & Insights poses the next question that justice demands be addressed:

“OK, but after having his life turned upside-down, where does Flynn go from here? And not just to get his good name back. He also deserves restitution for all that was taken from him by what increasingly looks like a criminal conspiracy, as we noted last week.”

If Flynn is not made whole, justice will still be incomplete.

Nothing new, just posting since there are so many stories coming out now. First a trickle, then a flood?

Durham moving ‘full-throttle’ on Russia probe review, top federal prosecutors involved: sources

U.S. Attorney for Connecticut John Durham is going “full throttle” with his review into the origins of the investigation into suspected Russia-Trump coordination in the 2016 election, with additional top prosecutors involved in looking at different components of the original probe, sources told Fox News.

Two sources told Fox News that Jeff Jensen, the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri who was tapped by the Justice Department in February to review the case of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, is continuing to help with Durham’s investigation even after the DOJ’s move last week to drop the case against Flynn.

The sources told Fox News that interim U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Timothy Shea is also assisting with components of the investigation.

“They farmed the investigation out because it is too much for Durham and he didn’t want to be distracted,” one of the sources told Fox News.

This Newsweek opinion piece is from Jason Foster , Former Chief Investigative Counsel, Senate Judiciary Committee.

</snip>

We wanted to compare the transcript of the intercepted call to the agent's contemporaneous notes of the interview to understand exactly how Flynn allegedly deceived the FBI.

To this day, however, DOJ's oversight committees in Congress, Flynn's lawyers and the public have still never seen a transcript of the call. In Congress, we asked for it on a bipartisan basis in February 2017. Flynn's lawyers have been asking. Still, all the public knows is mostly from selective leaks to the press and spin about what Flynn allegedly said.

Two years ago, Grassley urged the Justice Department to prove that what it did to Flynn could withstand independent scrutiny. Turns out, it couldn't.
