Height : 6’4

weight: 225

OVERVIEW

Drew Lock, the super senior , returned for another good season in the SEC. The big armed QB plays with a moxy and the attitude that there isn’t a throw he cannot make.

Slinging 44 TDs as a JR and 28 this past season to only 8 ints Lock will be moving up boards towards draft day

POSITIVES

- Good Size and Build

- Great arm strength

- Ability to throw with touch

- Can zip passes into tight windows

- plays with some moxie

- good deep ball placement

- Underrated athlete

- can buy time outside pocket

- usually throws good ball on run

-accurate to all levels

NEGATIVES

- Footwork can be sloppy

- decision making can become poor at times

- can leave a clean pocket too soon

- throws into coverage he shouldn’t

- need to see hand size at combine

CONCLUSION

Drew Lock is a Big, strong armed QB who has shown flashes of dominating games before. He needs to clean up footwork and consistency as well as improve his decision making but the tools are there for a QB1

GRADE

Thanks for the analysis.  Is the draft projection based on your evaluation of his talent or where you think he will be drafted?

My draft projection is based upon where I think they will be drafted

the grade is based more on skill but it’s a work in progress I’ve been tweaking for years

I haven’t gotten around to watching any of these guys yet since the Bills don’t need a QB this year.

How did that compare to the guys from last year?

I know I need to tweak my rankings from last year. I underestimated mobility and leadership. Which led me to be lower than I should have on Mayfield and Allen and higher than I should have on Rosen, Rudolph, and White.

Watched a few Missouri games this year.  He was underwhelming every single time.  I don't see him being a successful top end QB at all.

I agree and don’t think I ever called him a top end NFL QB

i called him a high end prospect which is completely different. He has tools but not the polish or consistency

Shhhhh! We don’t want Gruden or any of the others to hear you. He’s a FIRST BALLOT HOF QB! Move up to #9 to get him!

Somebody will jump up and grab Murray I think

They will fall in love with how dynamic he is

I don’t doubt that at all. I wonder how many other QB’s will get pushed into the top 10 just because they are QB’s. Position trumps value if you don’t have a QB.
