Is Pilut active for this game? I didn't see his name mentioned in the expected defensive pairings? I'm miffed by the reported exclusion.

Yeah he is. He has to be active with Nelson, Scandella and McCabe all injured.

With Nelson and McCabe both week to week, I am hoping it gives Pilut the time to cement his place in the lineup. If he keeps playing like he did last game (fingers crossed!), It’ll be tough for buffalo to send him back down...

I don’t want Pilit sent down, either. But the Sabres May have no choice as the eventual return of Scandella, McCabe, and Nelson means he either gets sent down because he’s not subject to waivers or one of those other three gets waived to make room. And I can’t see JBots doing that, especially McCabe. My hope is that he plays so well they are forced to waive one of Nelson or Scandella.
