This makes now the second time someone (first Fusion GPS, now Avenatti) got the wrong Michael Cohen. That only happens when someone is either deliberately misleading the public, or they're using illegally obtained 702 (type) data and lack the means to confirm it. Someone is leaking to Avenatti. Someone got the information wrong (intentionally or unintentionally). Oh, and Avenatti's tied to Fusion GPS pretty hard (who is paying his Stormy bills? Not her, Perkins Coie is).
