How about a trade for Amari Cooper?

Pair him back up with his old college QB.... Cooper has loads of talent but has been inconsistent as far as production with OAK.. Also if I'm not mistaken, this is the last year of his contract...

Would he be worth a 2nd this year, plus maybe a 6th or 7th next year?

I'm sure the Raiders will be anxious to do this.

I dunno... I'm hearing they're a little disappointed... He did have a couple drops, and they did just go get Nelson...

I think they might be inclined..

They won't be. Jordy Nelson is at the end of the line and is in no way is a threat to replace Cooper as the number one WR.  Derek Carr is looking to rebound and trading Cooper won't help.  Not happening.

Not going to happen. Too expensive either in picks, or salary. The Bills couldn't afford to pay him what he's due this year, well, not and actually fill up the rest of the roster eventually. Fwiw, he's due about $7 million this year.

Except there's a new HC in town... One not connected in any way to this receiver... In a deep WR draft, they might feel the high pick gives them a shot to improve at the position...

Well, if it's that deep, we can simply use one of our multiple draft picks on another WR, who won't cost $7 million this year, and we will have next year, and the year after, and the year after that, probably for the whole $7 million. You starting to get the picture?

You mean the same new HC that is planning on Cooper being the focal point of his offense? Yes, Gruden must think he's a scrub and will swap him for a 2nd.
