No one should put any stock in the pro day.

Scripted throws they've been practising for weeks against no defense and some people legitimately seem to think they matter.

I think they'd absurd.

They seem to be putting a lot of stock in Sam Darnold's. People are saying he solidified his spot at 1. Also took the opportunity to show how he has been working on keeping 2 hands on the ball and teams will like that

Again - why does a scripted workout against no defense without pads matter.

Year after year we hear about how guys fixed something at their pro day, then they get to the NFL and they always revert back to their old ways.

Just FYI, a few folks I know in the business disagree with you.  They like to see how QBs challenge (or don't challenge) themselves at their pro days, how well they script it to show off what they're good at, and how they script it to show that they can do the things that they've been knocked for not being able to do.

Moreover, they like to see how QBs perform when they're at their most comfortable; it's basically a contrast to the combine, when guys have to perform with WRs they've never thrown to, in an unfamiliar environment, after days of being poked and prodded and questioned to no end.

Cool.

I don't think pro days matter at all. Running around in shorts with no defense has zero impact on how a guy actually plays football against real competition.

Pro days are an opportunity to sucker in stupid scouts who fall in love with physical attributes.

If they didn't matter NFL teams wouldn't have owners, GMs, front office personnel, and coaches attending.

You really think that some team is going to draft QB2 vs. QB3 because another team likes QB3 better?

If anyone has a chance to fix what is the fatal flaw in his game, it’s Palmer.   He claims he’s done it, but that would border on miraculous. We’ll see!

Teams influence teams around them all of the time.  It’s painfully common place.  These things that “leak” at the oddest of times...   yea, that’s done intentionally, in hopes players drop.
