Nikko has slipped a little, so he could still make it. I would'nt be upset if the overrated Mario was booted tonight either. Girls: Janay & Jessica. Wise up America, Janay is no good. Jessica has been just ok. Although Lindsey & Mikalah could go also. After Amanda, Carrie, & Nadia, there is a deep dropoff amongst the girls. Any other thoughts? Seriously, every remaining male idol is better than all the ladies. The ladies completely bore the hell out of me with all there boring country ballalds. I got 3 out of 4 correct, but Amanda did nothing to deserve to be out this early! Here's my rankings: 1.Anwar: Easily the favorite 2.Anthony: He seems to have everything that this competition is all about. 3.Carrie: I think she can do more than country. She'll be around a long time. 4.Nadia: Another strong contender, just needs to be consistent. 5.Scott: Very talented, but when will his looks do him in? 6.Bo: Dark horse of the group. If he hangs around, he could win it all. 7.Constantine: Could be another dark horse, but has to step it up to keep pace. 8.Vonzell: She's good, but the other talent seems to be too strong for her. 9.Mario: Overrated talent, only lasts this far becasue most of the girls are weak. 10.Mikalah: Her personality gets her by for a couple weeks, after that it's over. 11.Lindsey: Underachiever as of late. Bo - dominates the stage like no other 4. Mario - has the certain something 5. Carrie - the country thing will eventually undo her 6. Anthony - The geek look can only go so far in face of better talent 7. Jessica - I think she's good but she doesn't do much for me 8. Vonzell - lots of personallity but limited ability 9. Scott - great vioce but his look limits his start power 10. Constantine - I don't feel he should have made the cut, he's not that good 11. I can't believe Scott made it in over Nikko...I've heard Scott is from "the streets" but there's still something about him that seems kind of phony. He didn't have the shades or the hip facial hair (and is it just me or was the accent not as thick??) during the Hollywood shows and now here they are. As far as the girls go, the only reason Mikalah got through is because of personality. She's a spitfire and I think she has a pretty good-sized pocket of fans who like the way she acts and keep voting for her. I don't think it'll keep her around much longer however. Other than Nikko being left out and Mikalah getting in, I think the voters got the Top 12 pretty much right. I think what did him in was a lack of personality--people didn't feel compelled to vote for him. But I thought he could have easily won the whole thing. The trailer park dude is pretty funny, he has nicely trimed facial hair and one of those mustaches that starts halfway between his nose and mouth. I bet he smokes like a chimney, I would respect him more if he did, actually. He claps his hands and pumps his fists while he sings, !@#$ing hardcore. This one guy wears a hat, but then decided not to wear his hat, and he has creepy looking curly hair that wants to be an afro, so he should keep his hat on. He shouts stuff like, "come on now", and " come on", and " yo, let me hear it" during songs. Please stop, thank you. So there are these two "rocker" guys. Yeah, I know. Anyway, one looks like David Koresh and has a neatly trimmed southern rock mullet. He tells us constantly that he writes his own songs and plays 'instruments' (don't want to know), he sings nice, too nice. Wal-Mart nice. The type of audience this show brings in really, really thinks he is an actual rocker, as if you can buy his doll on a store shelf, at Wal-Mart. Oh yeah, he sounds just like Michael Bolton. The other "rocker" is tall, skinny, has long shaggy hair, but in a weird twist of nature, he has a double chin. He picks songs you wouldn't expect to hear on American Idol and doesn't sing them especially well. Someone told me he was in 'Rent' prior to this. He appears to have sex with the microphone when singing, I think that he thinks that he is Michael Hutchence. Michael Hutchence is dead, btw. The women really, really suck bad. But one woman of note, who went last, went the booby route. Good for her, I guess. There is another one who looks like Sideshow Bob. Oh, oh yeah, Ozzie Smith's son is in it! don_of_manhattan Posted March 11, 2005 Share Posted March 11, 2005 I am a real guy - huge sports fan - even bigger Bills fan, been on this board forever - don't post often, cause I'm too busy, but I come here ALOT....I am a very real guy and I LOVE American Idol.....one of the few shows this old man can watch with his kids - we all love it...i travel alot, so we tivo it and recap on Friday nights...home this week, so here is my take... Niko - disappointed in his departure Travis - it was time to go Jenay -was much better in the prelims Amanda - she should have stayed - Mikalah (God awful Mikalah) should have departed. ps. With Vasquez out, producers decided to reinstate Nikko Smith, who was cut from the competition last week after failing to garner enough fan votes to make it into the top 12.
