OldTimeAFLGuy Posted January 3, 2018 Share Posted January 3, 2018 ....not getting to see college ball, I had a chance to see the Mayfield kid for the first time in the Rose Bowl and was surprised he was a spread guy......you guys will hopefully educate me.....how does the spread differ substantially from the Air Raid (which seems to be synonymous with leprosy)?........do you think Mayfield's shotgun style is something McD/Dennison are looking for versus your typical under center/pocket type passer?...thanks for the help............ I don't understand why coaches get conservative when they are up a couple scores, it usually ends up like it did. No worries, Georgia has a better team than Bama Saban is 11-0 vs his ex coaches. Saban is a great coach. I like the fact Saban has only a week to prepare for UGA. I don’t think Saban has faced an ex coach with the type of talent UGA has.
