When you factor in the way we got Tre and that 1st round pick and how KC is floundering (and we just helped that) the whole thing is looking like a slam dunk.

Not only is Tre better then Gilmore at a fraction of the price tag but we also picked up future assets

But they passed on Deshaun Watson. Looks like it could be a big mistake. We will see if they manage to acquire a QB, what it costs them in terms of picks and of course how good the player is. They could have stayed put, spent one pick on Watson and got a good corner by other means. A CB is easier to find than a QB. We will see.

Nice to see Tre White ballin and getting that call last night.

With Gaines in the lineup alongside him this team is 5-2.

And the biggest surprise of 2017 is how important Gaines has turned out to be.

He gets hurt a lot, but man he makes a huge difference for this team when he is healthy.

Re-signing Gaines to a manageable contract is priority number one early in the off-season.

I also lament them passing on a QB in the 1st, specifically Watson. But I see why they didn’t take one. Their  FO was not yet in place. They would have been using whaley’s Scouting to draft their Qb of the future, knowing he was out the door the next day. They wanted a full year of QB Scouting from their own FO before taking a guy that high because unlike a 5th rounder, a guy drafted that high would be expected to be the next franchise QB.

Very possible if Whaley had remianed GM Taylor would be gone with Watson in Buffalo.

Agree, but if Gaines is looking for a huge payday we obviously should pass given his injury history. Doubt other teams will be lining up for his services regardless and we still need additional DB depth even if we resign him to a reasonable deal.

With every game, McBeane proving the self-important fools here wrong.

It's time to get on board people. These guys are the real deal.

I'm sure most all of us were thinking on the last drive....god they're moving right down the field, here we go again, I know how this ends.   This kid Tre, is a playmaker.    Know what wins games, guys who make plays.    In our playoff drought, we have had anti-makers.   The int, easy drop, fumble, stupid penalty, onside kick at a key moment.   It was great seeing somebody step up and make a game sealing play.
