If you recall it was stated that Marrone asked for an extension and was denied, asked for extensions for his assistants, and was denied. Pegula was in contact with Bill Polian about the president / czar job, and later didn't want the job due to the job becoming more difficult then first thought. Then after Marrone left he burned a bridge with the owner by telling Bill Polian that the Buffalo FO people were slamming him. If that right there isn't enough for some of you then consider that Whaley has now stated he wanted someone to develop EJ, as Marrone, and his staff wasn't able to get that done.
