It's grain alcohol. It is actually higher proof than a bottle of rubbing alcohol (assuming it had ethanol or ether alcohol, not isopropyl). Think Bicardi 151 is bad? I tried it once, when I was on spring break in 1997. We put in in one of those "keg cups". Ya know, the ones that are red on the outside and white on the inside? Well, no one could drink more than a tiny taste of it, so we left it and went out for the night. When we got back, the liquor had a red tint to it.
