The Vikings took Christian Ponder out of Florida State in the first round in 2011. The Bills took EJ Manuel out of Florida State in the first round in 2013. Both are now the backup quarterbacks, with the Vikings and Bills deciding they were out of patience and had to turn elsewhere.
