jahbonas Posted October 12, 2014 Share Posted October 12, 2014 I think we all knew we were building talent on the defensive side - but we saw it wasted by Wanny - then we saw it improved but still troublesome under Pettine - now with Schwartz we have the right mix of run & pass defense #1 in sacks #2 in run defense (71 yrds) ..... Pettine has Browns at 29th 152yrds #2 in 3rd down Pct (31%) Last year #2 in sacks #28 in run defense (128 yrds) #13 in 3rd down Pct ( 37%) Coaching means a lot in this league Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Having a dominant defense against the run has always been a huge key to a teams overall success. Think San Francisco and Seattle. You have to make the other teams offense one dimensional.
