cincy has the 27th ranked defense

They were missing Burflict which really hurt their ability to cover the TEs. Pass D definitely better than run D.

And Atkins isn't all the way back yet either. I'm not convinced the *pats magically fixed their woeful interior line play in one week. I'm going to watch the all 22 tonight and get a better sense of what they did, but from what I've seen so far from the *pats, they're interior line is in for a long, long, LONG day against Dareus and the boys.

Might well boil down to who wins the key battles inside.

Can the Bills DT's exploit the Pats rookie OC? Will Wilfork make mincemeat of the Bills woeful OG's?

Can the Bills cover Gronk ? Can they make Brady uncomfortable enough to affect his timing ? And can the OL stave off Wilfork, Ninkovich ?

Answers to those questions and coaching schemes will determine the winner. On paper, the Bills have a vastly superior roster except for a couple of obvious exceptions.

Man 0 Man this game is so important in the grand scheme of things. A win and the alone atop the AFC East at 4-2 with two wins in the division.

Marrone beats Belichick, and shows he can win against the best of the division the last 14 years. Heck, even Gailey did it once.

Can the Bills stop that Patriots run game that ran the ball on Cincy, and shut down Brady? Will the weakness at the OG area continue to adversely effect the Bills? Will the Bills manage to get their run game working so Orton doesn't need to carry the entire offense again this week?

A win against their biggest rival would be a fantastic reward to the Pegula's for investing in the Bills.

The Film Don't Lie: Bills

A weekly look at what the Buffalo Bills must fix:

Early in his postgame news conference following Sunday's 17-14 win over the Detroit Lions, Bills coach Doug Marrone didn't mince his words about one area where his offense needed improvement.

"Our first downs were very, very poor," he said.

When the Bills return home to face the New England Patriots this weekend, they'll have to do better on first downs, specifically in the running game.
