This is what happens when...

This is what happens when you drink your own kool aid and oh by the way your opponent has extra time to prepare.

A. A drive in the last 1:36 against Carolina was great, but EJ is still a rookie with just 2 preseason games under his belt and 2 regular season games. That drive did not make him a seasoned pro bowl QB. Unfortunately the brass at 1 Bills drive made that assumption. The game plan (or lack thereof) was as vanilla as they come. Aside from FJ busted run, the run play calling was horrendous. The NYJ have the leagues best run D and we call dives and veers.

B. The NYJ did not respect EJ intermediate to long passes and put 9 in the box. Where were the screens, where was the bunch formations with picks, why did it take until the 4th qtr to look for the TE down the middle (oh by the way in cover 1 or cover 0 you get long gains or a SC TD)

C. Why leave the corners on an island. Our back ups are just that. Unfortunately, they have to play as starters. Rodgers was abused all day with no over the top help.

In as much as this game was painful to watch, we will see what this coaching staff is made off by they way they prepare for the Ravens.

Nice analysis. If EJ's knee is still a problem (as some have speculated) this may have contributed to his hesitancy. Lackluster play calling, poor defensive depth, injuries....will be interesting to see how Marrone addresses this with the team. He has to keep them engaged and not too discouraged. I don't envy him.

Excellent just like Fitz's "rib" injury lets base the lack of accuracy, this whole season on his minor scope in pre-season. The play calling really sucked EJ's accuracy or lack of it didn't help.

Does anyone know who wore Mario's jersey today? He sucked. 3 tackles total including 1 solo. When does Mario return?

Watch again. He had several pressures and was held multiple times yesterday

Even that play wasn't good, if you'll recall he should have been tackled for no gain or a loss even but the tackler blew it. So technically even that wasn't a good running play. We can't say that it was a well designed play and good timing to use it simply because the D make a massive error.

Same for Manuel's throwing, he'd have one TD this season if it weren't for broken coverages and broken defensive plays.

they are rookies. learning on the job. I thought we all knew that .

but you have solid points youngunz. i had hoped for some more interesting work from the offense. I think Bills were actually going to start Kolb, at this point. Manuel may have a great future but all pundits said he needed development and thts what we are seeing.
