Do we need a new kicker or a new coach?

Lindell has been reliable and quite accurate so I don't know if we should blame him or the coach for not being able to hit a 52 yarder. Does he not have the leg for it? They don't even let him try from beyond 50. I've never seen this before in my life at this level. Maybe some college teams might punt or opt to go for it in those situations but most of the top college programs even have guys that can connect from that distance. Who should we blame for this? The kicker with the weak but accurate leg, or the coach that won't give him a shot?

Lindell's leg is fine. He hit one from 50 in bad weather last week that wouldve been good from 55+. It's chan that's the problem. He basically said after last week that his philosophy is against trying long field goals unless the game is already out of reach in the bills' favor when asked why he didn't kick a 50 yarder when he had the chance against Indy in a dome, but did in wind and rain against Jacksonville.

Coach need to be offensive coordinator can't manage time in the game to call a time out on the 52 yard field goal /time out punt just shows the incompetence Talks about players not making the play. the plays well can you blame them when he takes the game away from them. A field goal makes it a two score game come on. Field Goal was the play. Defense playing well had been making stops. But no don't nail the coffin closed give the other team a chance because he continues not to believe in his players to do what it takes to win except Fitz who has done something to win a game . . . last year!

Agreed, not only did Chan flinch at putting points on the board, he wasted a time out to curl up in a fetal postion and punt!

Bills need new coach, new kicker and new qb. If I get my Christmas wish (I have been good this year), they will have all three by the start of next year. Most fans (as is myself) are coming to realize that Chan has failed to but the Bills in any type of situation to win games with horrible play calling, failure to get CJ ball more often and failure to get D to make adjustments earlier in year. Bills need a new kicker because, while accurate in medium/short range FGs, I still feel that every kick is an adventure. But's not even that...a professional kicker should be able to routinely kick touchbacks of most kickoffs and a professional team should carry 1 and only 1 kicker, not a kickoff specialist and fg specialist. Finally, new QB because, while I admire Fitz toughness and his ability to manage and run Chan's complicated Offense, his has been consistently inaccurate, has lacked ability to lead the team when they need a big drive, had multiple costly turnovers (I know he's not the only one on this team, but more than others), and lacks arm strength. I partly blame Chan for accepting what QB he had and not trying to find a more talented QB and simplifying his system slightly.

I think Buddy has to fire Chan or cut Lindell at the end of the season. Either Chan's right, and Lindell can't be trusted, which means we absolutely need a K who can hit a 50 yard FG.

But I don't believe that, and Buddy hasn't looked for a new K, which means he has to part ways with the coach who can't bear to even try it.

Lindell's track record is a heck of a lot better than Chan, and every other coach the team has had. He is having a great year, and is inside 50 points from breaking the all-time scoring record for the team. Nothing but solid. 1000% chance if he goes, he follows in the steps of Fletcher as a misplaced decision instead of looking at the real (simple) problems...second rate QB, coach, and owner. Yeah, it's that simple.

That's so true. But we probably won't be happy with the results when the Bills get a new owner.

I'd say it's 50-50. There are some very realistic ownership candidates who would keep the team in Buffalo. Of course, there are plenty of folks who'd like to move the team to LA.

So yeah, we might lose the team when we get a new owner. But if the new owner keeps the team in Buffalo, we're pretty much guaranteed someone more engaged and better positioned to win than Ralph.
