Who should be cut from this

Who are the guys likely to be gone from this team for next season? This

thread is not who will leave the team, but who will get the axe

Offense:

o Josh Reed: I think 3 years is quite a time to prove yourself, especially

if you are a high draft pick (2nd rd pick)

o Mike Pucillo: He turned into a Sullivan of last year. Did squat.

o Neufield: Both campbell and Euhus were playing good. If we draft

a TE, then Neufield might be the odd man out.

Defense:

o Pierson Prioleu : He cannot be getting a million buck for keeping the

bench warm.

o Ryan Denney: Might be on his way out.

Denney's not going anywhere.

I think Izell Reese is the most obvious candidate to leave town.

I think Reese and Prioleus plays are pretty much equal and Reese probably

costs must less than Proleu.

I'd like to cast my vote for Josh Reed.

Some of you SEC homers (you know who you are) seem to back this guy year in and year out. But I think it's pretty clear that he is NOT an NFL-caliber WR. Not by any stretch.

Agreed, JSP. Hasn't done Bo Diddley poo/Jack Squatola to remain on this club. That PI call on him Sunday cinched it as far as I'm concerned.

Coy Wire.  Safety depth has to be a priority in the draft/offseason.

The Coy Wire decision will heavily depend on what they're paying him. If he's got a contract that assumed he would be the starting SS by this point instead of a special teams player, then he might be in trouble. Then, likely unwilling to restructure, he'll end up playing special teams for another coach at an equitable price.

Even if he's earning STs money he still needs to be replaced by someone who could actually play the safety position if necessary and also STs.

Decent ST players are a dime a dozen - and ST 'specialists' are minimized on this team by the willingness of the coaches to play starters on STs.

Justin Bannan. Although he is a dependable backup. There just isn't room on the roster for Pat, Sam, Ron Edwards, and Tim Anderson plus others at DT.

Dante Brown - this is an obvious choice.

Rian Lindell - this guy should have been asking "paper or plastic?" 9 months ago.

Ryan Nuefeld - TE is truly the weakest position on this team. I was shocked to hear either TD or MM say they were very happy with this position in the Q&A yesterday.

These last three players are examples of players that make a team that regualarly finish below .500

Hopefully that won't be the Bills again next year.

Pierson Prioleou

Izell Reese

Coy Wire

Yes - I learned that the Bills STs was better this year because they put more of their talented players there, including starters, which is what Martz refuses to do and one of the reasons he clashed with April and why April is here now.

What I meant by decent are the remaining players on STs who aren't standouts but do their jobs - the 'decent' ones. Wire is definitely replaceable on STs.
