San Jose Bills Fan Posted October 12, 2012 Share Posted October 12, 2012 The Bills Backers in the Valley of the Sun have done an UNBELIEVABLE JOB of organizing this weekend, start to finish. There will be a Fish Fry Dinner tonight at Taps (when you leave Buffalo you realize how hard it is to get a good Friday night fish fry), a "Pub Crawl" tonight (http://billsvscardinals.com/link-buffalo-pub-crawl.html) followed by a tour of The University of Phoenix Stadium tomorrow morning (sold out) a Bills Backers Golf Tournament (Sold Out), a Saturday Night Big Bills Bash featuring Andre Reed, Mark Maddox, and JD Hill, and then finally tailgating before and after the game. The Backers also organized a Bills Backers hotel and are still currently working on trying to get a shuttle going from the hotel to "Taps" which is where the Fish Fry and the Saturday night party takes place. If you're planning on attending the tailgate, this is VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION as it is the very issue which caused problems last Sunday at Candlestick: 1) Parking lot Here's a tailgate area that is located at the South East corner of the University of Phoenix Stadium in parking lot "F". You'll need parking passes to get in this lot with your car or truck but can park else where and walk on over, one place to go get the "F" lot passes is the Phoenix Craigslist. Look up Tickets, then Bills vs Cards and there will be options choose from. All Grass to park and party. It's as close as the party was in San Diego. We will have a few grills set up if you need to cook. We are also planning on having Sahlen's from Ted's on the grill....... If you want to find us call John McCartney at 623-229-8142.... We will have one of the highest flags up. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN FOOD AND BEVERAGES. THERE WILL ALSO BE A RAFFLE AND OTHER THINGS TO DO BUT THE GROUP DOESN'T HAVE ENOUGH FOOD AND BEER FOR EVERYONE SO YOU'LL NEED TO BRING YOUR OWN. GRILLS WILL BE PROVIDED. I understand that the Glendale High School Marching Band will be playing a medley of ABBA's greatest hits. I think it's called the Mama Mia Medley. Info for the stadium tour: Thank you for joining us on the #BillsMafia tour of University of Phoenix Stadium! Below is all the information for the tour including meet up time and location, parking, and tour details. - Date: Saturday, October 13, 2012 - Time: 10:00am. Tour will begin promptly at 10:00am, so we ask all persons to arrive by 9:45am. Any persons arriving after the tour has commenced may be prohibited from joining the tourand will not be issued a refund. We will be meeting by the Gate 2 entrance near the AZone Team Store (Look for the large "2" outside of the stadium on the North side). - Parking: Free parking for the tour will be available in the North lot directly across from the AZone Team Store, unless directed to an alternate location. - Tour Details: The tour will be approximately 75 minutes in length and will cover approximately 1 mile of walking and is tentatively scheduled to cover the history of the stadium, the Cardinals, and views from the press box, lofts, and locker room. I had the great pleasure of meeting Pinto Kenny and Mrs. Pinto Kenny (and also doing a bowling ball shot) as well as hanging out with the much-revered Jamie Nails (the smaller, white version). Sadly I missed my connection with NewEra but had an awesome time meeting Brian Coger who planned much of the weekend's festivities and many other Bills fans. There was an estimated 5000+ Bills fans at U of Phx Stadium… about one out of every 13 attendees!
