Once again the flannel shirted dirty socialist hippies are #1 at sucking on the Federal teet

These are the states that get the most federal money.

1) Alaska

  • Federal spending per capita net of income taxes: $15,197
  • Total federal spending per capita: $17,762
  • Federal income taxes per capita: $2,565

No state in the U.S. received more money per person from the federal government than Alaska. One contributing factor is that the state had the second-highest figure for defense spending in 2010, at $7,337.59 per capita. The federal government also allocated a great deal toward wages and salaries in Alaska -- $5,709.52 per capita. This was more than any state other than Hawaii, which spent $5,805.78 per person, and twice the next-closest state within the contiguous U.S. -- Virginia -- at $2,638.68.

As we always knew, Liberals love to preach how others should pay more, yet they are the stingiest hypocrites in the country.

Red states give more money to charity than blue states, according to a new study on Monday.

The eight states with residents who gave the highest share of their income to charity supported Sen. John McCain in 2008, while the seven states with the least generous residents went for President Barack Obama, the Chronicle of Philanthropy found in its new survey of tax data from the IRS for 2008.

The eight states whose residents gave the highest share of their income — Utah, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, Idaho, Arkansas and Georgia — all backed McCain in 2008. Utah leads charitable giving, with 10.6 percent of income given.

And the least generous states — Wisconsin, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, Maine and New Hampshire — were Obama supporters in the last presidential race. New Hampshire residents gave the least share of their income, the Chronicle stated, with 2.5 percent.

“The reasons for the discrepancies among states, cities, neighborhoods are rooted in part in each area’s political philosophy about the role of government versus charity,” the study’s authors noted.

As though defense spending in Alaska benefits only Alaska. The real difference between liberals and truly retarded raving liberals as yourself is that you see everything as a welfare program.

That happens to be the difference between conservatives and truly retarded raving conservatives also.

No. They see everything as a divine commandment.

Thou shall subsidize off shore drilling, thou shall not provide tax credits to develop wind energy. Dinosaurs were put here 5000 years ago already dead and turned to fossil fuel for us, wind was put here to blow on thy hair and make Michael Jackson look epic whilst thrust pelvis.

Hey, dumbass, know your schit before you comment. Fatty had on more than one occasion attemped to make fun of me by stating that my use of the word "bolden" was incorrect. After I corrected him, he's sort of avoided me. That was my little attempt at needling him. I wouldn't expect you to know that since you come here and flood the board with your stupid posts and disappear for long lengths of time due to extreme embarassment.

You underestimate us. Add "!@#$ing", and our vocabulary doubles in size. :w00t:

Why is it that the vast majority of our "progressive" posters are long on anger and short on any sort of ability to discuss anything? It's tough to have any sort of a discussion with anyone who throws random bull **** against the wall and insists it sticks because they said so.

I love the "progressives" with those silly coexist bumper stickers. "Sure I'll coexist with you. That is of course unless I disagree with you."

The top 5 posters on this board have more posts than the rest of the posters. I think we should distribute their posts so everyone has an equal balance.

It's not about whether they earned that post count or not, it's about ensuring everyone has an equal number of posts.
