Except, of course, for the idiot who said this: Good thing he had the blue one, they are, of course, far superior to the red ones. What an idiot, everybody knows that every lightsaber is unique to the Jedi or Sith who built it. The red color of the Sith lightsabers comes from the synthesized crystals they use, rather than the natural crystals traditionally used by Jedi (notable exceptions include Luke Skywalker, who was able to build a green synthetic crystal). Which is also why Mace Windu had a purple lightsaber. (Canonically, at least.
