he's the same douche that brought forth the guy thats in prison....

Oh, Jesus Christ.... :wallbash:

Panelist on sports scandals says there's another accuser

Robert Hoatson, executive director of Road to Recovery, said he's spoken to a person who says he was abused by a head coach at Syracuse University, but he did not name either person. Hoatson, a sexual abuse victims' rights advocate, was speaking today at a symposium on media coverage of the Penn State and Syracuse University sex abuse investigations.

Hoatson said the person is not ready to be identified. Hoatson said he didn't know if that person would come forward, or when. The person told him the abuse happened years ago, possibly decades ago, Hoatson said.

A Syracuse University professor, John Nicholson, pointedly asked Hoatson whether he was casting a shadow of suspicion on all SU head coaches.

"What in the world are you saying?" Nicholson asked.

Hoatson said he didn't see it that way. "People should know," he said. "It's not just Bernie Fine. It could be another coach."

Is that professor, John Nicholson, the one who was the anchor on Syracuse news in the 89-91 (I'm sure much longer, but that's when I was there - when Mike Tirico was the 2nd sports guy on that station).

And in other news today...

Judge signs order to dismiss Zach Tomaselli's order of protection from Bernie Fine

A judge in Maine dismissed today an order of protection against former Syracuse University basketball coach Bernie Fine at the request of one of Fine’s accusers, Zach Tomaselli.

...

A judge issued Tomaselli the temporary order of protection without requiring Tomaselli provide the court with evidence of harassment. The threshhold required to obtain a temporary order is low, according to a Maine prosecutor. The protection order was dropped before a judge held a hearing to review any evidence. A hearing had been scheduled for Tuesday to determine if the order should be made permanent.

Sounds like Zack didn't have any evidence so he asked for it to be dismissed.

That's him all right............I always tell the story of my first year of grad school there. I watch the news and at 6:08, they tell the story of the Berlin Wall coming down. I'm checking my watch, looking around, etc. I'm like did they just say the Berlin Wall is coming down, and they waited 8 minutes to tell that story.

I'm sure there was something huge happening in Camillus that night.

Rev. Robert Hoatson plans to protest Syracuse University at Big East Tournament in NYC

Hoatson has also been working with the family of Floyd David VanHooser, the Syracuse man who claimed Fine abused him when he was a child into adulthood. VanHooser, who is serving 16 years to life in prison for repeat burglary convictions, has since recanted his claims, which Hoatson says is common for sex abuse victims. Hoatson stands by VanHooser's original allegations against Fine.

This guy, Hoatson, is getting to be as bad as Zack.

Keeping the consolidation of all SU scandals, etc. in this thread, we now Fab Melo gone for unknown reasons:

My link

So, possible child molestation, drug taking and allowing the drug takers to play anyway, and now unknown reasons for a major suspension. Quite a year.

I'll repeat what i heard...the ncaa went back on the issue they cleared him on earlier...sounds fishy to me...

Jerry Sullivan ‏ @TBNSully

Fab Melo will not play in the NCAAs because of academic issues. But I'm sure Jim "Sgt. Schultz" Boeheim had no idea there was a problem.

Experts say NCAA likely won't investigate 1990s violations alleged by Bobby Davis

Three NCAA experts say violations involving Syracuse Universitys basketball team alleged by one of Bernie Fines accusers are likely too minor and too old for the collegiate sports organization to investigate. The NCAA and SU will not say if the NCAA is investigating Bobby Davis allegations that Laurie Fine, the wife of SUs former longtime assistant coach, had sex with players, gave them gifts, lent them money and her car, and did a players laundry during the 1990s. Whether the allegations are true or not, experts say, the NCAA rarely strays from its four-year statute of limitations.

...

Two of the four players whom Davis alleged had sex with Laurie Fine have told The Post-Standard it was not true. The others could not be reached.

Want to live across the street from Jim and Juli?

Former assistant basketball coach Bernie Fine puts house in DeWitt up for sale

The asking price for the home is $549,900. The Fines paid $285,000 when they bought the house in 2001. Head basketball coach Jim Boeheim and his wife, Juli, live across the street.

makes alot of sense now why we haven't heard anything from the feds on the search of fine's stuff...they probably knew at that time that it was obtained based on sketchy information....

...it is a bit distressing that he said that davis told him what kind of porn fine watches, so that doesn't really diminish anything the 2 brothers have brought to the table...

This is just unreal.

It just shows that Davis and Lang are doing whatever it takes to keep this going, by "coaching" the other "victims" on what to say/do.

yeah but my point was that davis seemingly had information with which to coach him...granted it has been alleged there was some shenanigans going on during his adult years, so this doesn't prove or disprove anything, just that fact that davis had some info with which to coach...allegedly...

I read this last night and am really not sure of the purpose of this article...this has been said ad nauseum since day 1...they felt they needed to have a 'reporter' just rehash what a lot of people have been saying? Until someone steps up and defends Bernie Fine then these 2 jack-offs need to fade into bolivia where they belong

At one time there were four accusers, then three, then two, and now it may be down to one......

Bernie Fine supporters question credibility of accuser Mike Lang
