AFN's Game of the Week

Recommended Posts

The Bills were never on AFN when I was in, I always had to watch the F'n boys. Not to mention I paid twenty bucks per game to watch the Bills on-line.

"Online" wasn't invented yet when I was in. Never saw a single Bills game in Korea or Saudi Arabia.

I'm glad this weekend the brave folks in uniform can see the Bills beat the Pats.

Good Bless our troops!

Go Bills!

Just an FYI for all of us BILLS fans in the AOR.

AFN's Game of the week is PATRIOTS vs. BILLS (at least we will get to see ONE (1) live game this season)

Game time is:

- 2000 in Iraq

- 2130 in Afghanistan

Go BILLS!!!!….

To all those that will be watching on AFN, enjoy the game, you deserve it. I remember the days of watching AFN and what a treat it was to get a live game featuring the hometown team. You guys and women are the best of the best. Savor the experience and stay safe. God Bless you all.

I remember when I was deployed back in '07-'08 I was subjected to the snow game in Cleveland, it was the only Bills game I could watch on AFN that whole year, UGH. I did however, get to announce to the men working in my compound (who were mostly made up of New York Giants fans) that the Giants had beaten the heavily favored Pats in the SB, that was a treat ;)

Hopefully you boys overseas will get a treat tomorrow and a Bills victory! God bless you and keep you safe...

Afghanistan Bills Backers mentioned in this great front page article from this morning's Buffalo News...

Spreading Bills fever around the world

God Bless the brave men and women of the US armed forces - fair to say, I think, that no one flies their Bills colors higher...

Greatest picture ever. Thank you for serving.

God bless our men and women on active duty, and veterans as well. Thank you for your sacrifice and all that goes in to what you do everyday.

My little Army brat niece, Paris, has been streaming the games overseas. Carwell Gardener, RB for the Buffalo Bills gave her a football once upon a time at a Bills practice during the Jim Kelly Era when she was only 4 years old. Kelly threw the Football to Gardener coming out of the backfield and as often customary ,Gardener dropped the ball. It rolled up to Paris, my little niece and my Dad told her to throw the ball back to him. She kind of pushed the ball forward with both hands and it rolled up to Carwells feet. The big giant of a man walked up to Paris, ruffled her hair and handed her the football, and another Bills fan for life was made.

My Dad has since passed, but it was one of his fondest memories and he loved to tell the story. I have the football here in PA and I'm going to try to track down Carwell and see If he would mind signing her football. If anyone could assist me in getting in contact with him PM me and it would be very much appreciated. Paris Lynn is E4 Specialist Combat medic in the military/Army stationed in Germany. Once the Football is signed I want to send it to my little Army brat where she is stationed.

:worthy:God Bless the men and woman who serve our Country and GO BILLS!!!

I would contact the Buffalo Bills directly with your story. I'm sure they have an alumni association and if you told them your story, it's hard to imagine that they wouldn't help.
