Bob in STL
This loss can be broken down to some basics: 1. Inexcusable blocked extra point - Mathematically it is 21-21 without this play. 2. Turnovers - We had more than they did by 3-1. Tough to win on the road when you turn the ball over. 3. Front 7 - they had great pressure on the QB, we had none at all. 4. The loser factor - mystery holding on Spiller's long run; dropped interceptions, dropped passes, the punt with eyes to the goal line. Hey, at least they are keeping it interesting. Bob in STL
Well..... yeah.... But what else is left? What else is left? I guess that sums it up. We played good enought to win, yet bad enough to lose.
BillsPhan
This loss can be broken down to some basics CORRECTIONS: 1. Inexcusable BAD passes thrown by Bills starting QB. His receivers were open all day long. 2. Front 7 - they had great pressure on the QB, we had none at all. 3. The loser Defensive Coordinator factor - mystery schemes and formations that continue to enable any team the Bills play to beat them week after week after week. George Edwards has managed to take a great pass defense and a bad run defense and turned it into a horrible run defense and a lousy pass defense. Red
I don't know. This is a better team than anything Jauron put together. The record certainly does not indicate it, but we are finding an identity. Through hard work. Today was a 3rd consecutive week of taking it down to the wire. Much better than earlier in the season. The only 2 items I am bummed about is the lack of any kind of a consistent pass rush and no running game to speak of. But Bell seems to be doing much better at LT. Cordaro Howard seems to be another one of those free agent finds. The culture is changing, boys. The record may not indicate it, but this team is starting to build a foundation. Cordaro Howard, who was absolutely manhandled last week @ KC, is in the process of being replaced by Mansfield Wrotto, another street free agent. RT will be a high priority come this offseason. reddogblitz
1. Inexcusable blocked extra point - Mathematically it is 21-21 without this play. This is 2 weeks in a row where Rian Lindell cost us the game. Of course everything else played in, but man, you gotta make those kicks. He makes most, but the ones he misses are big. Last week, this week, against the Clowns on MNF in 2008. On and on.

CSBill
This is 2 weeks in a row where Rian Lindell cost us the game. Of course everything else played in, but man, you gotta make those kicks. He makes most, but the ones he misses are big. Last week, this week, against the Clowns on MNF in 2008. On and on. Wasn't it blocked ? .... how is that his fault? But I will say this, why not try the long field goal with 2 minutes to go, he has shown the leg for that distance (and, it's in a dome), even if he doesn't make it, the ball is pretty much the same place as the failed fourth down attempt. reddogblitz
Wasn't it blocked ? .... how is that his fault? He kicked it too low. When kicking a short FG or extra point you have to kick it high to be able to get it up OVER the guys trying to block it. When kicking a long FG, the trajectory is much lower because the ball has to travel further. That's why most blocked FGs are on long FGs. Watch the extra point(s) in the next game you watch and you'll see they kick it high usually. That's why it's Lindell's fault.
