Freddy Jackson is frustrated

"There are not enough balls," he said. "We don't get enough plays on offense to give three guys the ball. Somebody is going to be that odd guy out, and that's me right now."

"It's definitely tough. I'm just trying to bide my time right now and hopefully things will shake out where I can get on the field more. I've got my fingers crossed."

The time is golden to make a trade. Teams like Green Bay, Denver, Seattle, Cleveland, and Tampa Bay are struggling with the run and don't have a feature guy to carry the load. We've got holes in a lot of places. Especially if we plan on running the ball 9 TOTAL times in a game, having three guys is just plain idiotic.

I agree. We need to deal a RB for an upgrade in talent at basically any other position. There are so many damn holes on this team it is sad. Why not start rebuilding right now and get some new players in here or at least picks for the upcoming draft. Sadly, I don't trust mgmt to get fair value if a trade were to happen.

Has there ever been a team in NFL history that has given a healthy #9 pick RB less touches than this team?

4 weeks in the books. How many times has CJ touched the ball?

It's so puzzling it almost calls for an investigation into the real motives of this regime.

Which begs the repeated question of why CJ Spiller was drafted when we have so many gaping holes at positions other than RB and DB, let alone for an undersized RB who is not an everydown player.

I wonder the same thing. Do they want this team to have a top 3 pick this year? Or are they just not that intelligent? I hope there is some kind of plan here.

At this point I think it would be the right thing to trade Lynch or Jackson to GB for Hawk. AJ could fall down in front of the ball carrier and would instantly be an improvement over anything else we have.

I agree. They've got depth at LB that we could use. Hawk, Jones, Barnett, Chillar, Poppinga could all improve our lineup. In addition, they have extra depth at WR we could use. Jordy Nelson and James Jones could help us out a TON. AND they just lost their starting safety for the season. We could throw in someone like Wilson or Whitner to sweeten a package deal with Marshawn. Come on, this is too easy!!!

I think teams must be guilt ridden at the prospect of sending one of their players to Buffalo in a trade. Even if they really don't like they guy, that's a pretty hardcore thing to do. Sending them to the worst team in the least desirable city to live in. Don't get me wrong, I love Buffalo. I am just coming from the point of general perception by the players.

Realistically, I know that this is a business and most teams would not hesitate to trade if they thought they were getting the better end of the deal. Seriously though, who would want to play here?

Have you been to Green Bay? That place is about as boring as it gets. There is more to do in and around Buffalo than the entire state of Wisconsin.

Bottom line, the Bills are an NFL team and any player should be happy to be on an NFL roster. If Green Bay could improve their team, they wouldn't hesitate to send their guys here.

Unless Hawk is the rare player that would want to commit to playing in Buffalo it isn't going to happen without a restructured contract. He is making $4.623 million this year but a base salary of $10 million next year, which is why unless they restructure the contract, he won't be in Green Bay either next season. Ralph won't pay a quarterback 3 or 4 million, why would he pay a linebacker 10 million. If Fred Jackson is frustrated, at least he is getting paid to be frustrated, us fans just sit here for free and feel the pain.

Fred should get 15 - 20 carries per game. He is obviously the best back at hitting up the middle and finding some room and getting plus yards. On his first carry yesterday he hit up the middle for 10 yards. He ended up 3 carries for 21 yards. He doesn't need a big hole and space and stuff like Lynch and Spiller do. Based on our OLine he is the best choice. He's 30 or so so he's realistically only got a couple of years left. Why not milk it?

And it's like he was built for the wild Bill. In the wildcat or whatever the back gets the ball and waits a second to find a hole and then hits it. That's what Fred's strength is. We should be running at least 10 WildBill plays a game.

Find a way to get Spiller touches in space. Put ML and Fred in at the same time and do counters and fakes to one and a pitch to the other. Passing is our weakness yet we do it way more. Hell, get all 3 of them in there and do something creative. I thought that's what Coach Gailey was supposedly good at.

In my mind this is starting to call the Coach Gailey offensive genius theory into serious question. He looks like Alex all over again.

Add the Eagles to the list of potential suiters for Lynch's services. McCoy has cracked rib and will miss games.

Nix and comnpany need to stop being stubborn and deal Lynch before his value goes to the toillet. Another game in which he fumbles and gains less than 10 yards will only hurt his current trade value. I prefer a player swap (help on the OL or DL) rather than a third or forth pick esp since the Bills simply are a disaster in the war room. Fred Jackson and CJ Spiller can carry the load. No point of keeping three rbs. Yes, an injury can happen but the Bills cannot afford the luxury of having three rbs when there are so many needs on the team.

People don't want to trade for 30 year old running backs. He might be worth a 5th rounder realistically, maybe less.

I don't think we want to trade Lynch because Jackson is almost certain to be in the twilight of his NFL career, and if we trade Lynch we'll be only left with Spiller to be the "workhorse" running back, which everyone in the NFL knows he cannot be.

So, trading Jackson is the only option (saving two young running backs on the roster), but yet nobody will trade for him.

That's why nothing has happened.

Here's a deal. We'll do the math if you do the grammar.

If you look at where guys were drafted, then ya, I guess Fred Jackson is the third on the totem pole. But, if you are just crazy enough to watch the games and see who the better player is, Freddie is the best player of the three, and I'd say it's not even a close race right now. The guy continually gets shafted by dumbass coaches who look at everything but production on the field. You don't look at a RB's age to determine the 'washed-up' level he's at, you look at career touches. In that regard, he's a young 30.
