Parcells disappointed in Henne?

The hype around Henne has to do with the hype around Miami with pop stas being co team owners and the idea that it is such a cool and hip "international" city. The fact that they have mediocre talent won't be shown until the enbd of the year, when everyone says they "underachieved"

Well said. It's just pure hype. They, like the Cowboys, are a team with large national following, and people want to see and hear wonderful things about their team, so every year the expectations are always greater than the reality.

It generates sales and ratings.

Dolphins are favorites?

PTR

why not, the bills have holes at offensive line, qb, wr, a new head coach and defensive coordinator, d-line, ouside linebacker, inside linebacker, and tight end. they do have a deep offensive and defensive backfield though. (sic)

please know im kidding and not on the national kill bills koolaid.

10-6

For all his football ability, Bill Parcells has a decreasing attention span with his teams. This retreat from responsibility should surprise no one who has seen the pattern. The fun was in the initial recovery... he is too old, too rich, and too established to want to hang around and manage a team. He has shown that in NE, NY, DAL, and now MIA. This takes nothing away from his successes, but it does show how difficult it is to repeat the kind of long-term success he had with the Giants.

I have never been overly impressed with the Tuna. If you look at his record with out Bellicheat as his DC he is more middle of the road.

He's the Lou Saban of the modern era.

The guy wants the glory of the build and none of the maintaining that goes with staying on top. He also wants to avoid the possible failure of a fall. The dude has too much of an ego to take in that kind of failure.

Henne hasn't proven anything more than Edwards. The difference in hype, IMO, is that Henne was a Bill Parcells draft pick. And to many, Parcells can do no wrong.

Henne has shown up to this point, he is just about the exact same QB Edwards is, at least statistically. QB rating in the mid 70's, completes about 60-61% of his passes, throws for about 2500 yards per season, and has about an even TD-INT ratio that is fairly low(12TD-14INT/11TD-10INT,etc). What exactly has Henne done that makes everyone think he is the next great thing, yet everyone thinks Edwards is a piece of crap? I don't get it, they have done just about the exact same things.

Indeed, which is the reason for the diminishing returns at each successive stop. He has no taste for the management anymore, and the risk of failure is too unpleasant. Miami will probably be his last stop, but his name will come up annually among those who do not know the BPLoDR.
