The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services estimated that "as many as 30% of completed youth suicides each year" are performed by gays and lesbians. Kids dying because of the cards that they've been dealt, not so funny... Not the type of discussion you folks were really looking for on TSW now is it? The minute you saw that Howard Darby guy you knew no QB in the world can get rid of the ball that fast. No way. But then to find out that whoever put this up didn't put up the rest of the program was irritating. It was pretty cool seeing Darby, though. He's unbelievable. Although as I watched it again, a bit less so. He's firing at a target that's less than five yards away, so he needs very little accuracy, which is why he can use that weird motion. The one thing that has anything to do with QBing is that Trent's initial reaction is faster. I don't know if it's surprising, though, since Darby's motion must be small and precise and a QB's first motion is a blunt, big movement, jamming his foot into the ground. The balloon was extremely close. I think it's a shock wave that pops it, not an actual bullet. That's why he doesn't have to aim precisely. I thought the actual hand speed of Trent Edwards is very impressive, especially considering all the noodle arm comments you see thrown around about him. The path to the arm and hand is probably a bit more intricate then just planting the leg so good point, Trent's initial reaction time is still lightning fast and I don't believe there's many (If any) QB's in the NFL that can duplicate it, at least not in my opinion Favre, maybe... Never liked his material all that much, though. And as much as I generally like your input here, Dean, bringing that to this forum just because it was there wasn't anywhere near up to your usual standards. I'm actually surprised that no one has pointed out that Trent's actually very adept at keying in on a single target with heightened anticipation, and therefore it's not surprising that he was good at this gimmick.
