Solid in the run game, excellent in pass protection and made a few athletic plays when he was asked to pull. too bad that fat bastard didn't have the work ethic in Buffalo. Too bad he played soccer as a kid and not football. Too bad he was a Bills fan b/c he played them on Tecmo Bowl or early Maddens. Too bad Mularkey fined him in training camp. Losing teams like the Bills tend to a have a string of 2nd class coaches that the players don't really respect or fear and the overall attitude on the team is not up to snuff (Kelly saying that he couldn't tell on a Monday in the locker room for the current team if they lost or won based on the mood in the locker room). The theme is players that don't feel like working hard don't, sometimes are cut, and then come back with other teams where they are willing to work. Or they stay on the team but never play up to their potential. Stuff like this doesn't seem to happen on elite teams. Players are afraid to goof off. The Bills problem isn't who they draft, It is how they develop talent. Especially, on the offensive side of the ball. The only offensieve players the Bills have drafted this decade that have made a big impact on our team or another are: Henry McBadknee Sammy Morris and Evans I chose to exclude Losman's UFL "achievements" as well as Roscoe's "special" achievements, and Peters because he wasn't drafted. So, 4 players in 10 drafts with 3 of them in the same position is not getting it done as far as talent development goes. IT is the scouts job to identify good players coming out of the draft and the coaches job to develop those talents. As much as we hammered on Killdrive on this board, he has done a good job of running the ball more and developing Eli Manning over in New Jersey(A). The guy has blown ass all year. The only reason he is even on the field is due to injuries. He was playing tackle, but was getting absolutely destroyed, so they moved him inside. And he plays next to one of the best guards in the NFL. This is one chance where you can't blame the Bills at all. They did everything right and MW screwed them. I can respect his comeback if he came back for the right reasons but there will always be some doubt in my mind that's it's not motivated by other factors. But either way, the Skins still suck. Patrick said that former NFL tackle Tony Boselli, who was working the game for Westwood One radio as a sideline reporter, pointed out that the Cardinals knew when a pass was coming from the Vikings because of the manner in which left tackle Bryant McKinnie would line up prior to the snap.
