I coached ice hockey at different levels for about 14 years, from 5 year old mites through 18 year olds on a travel team. The travel team made it to the NYS championship tournament one year in April, but our 3 best players couldn’t play because they had to show up for high school baseball and lacrosse practices or else they’d be kicked off their teams, and they were trying to get college scholarships.

And there’s gay people that vote Republican even though they want to restrict the rights of gays. Or pro-contraception women who shop at Hobby Lobby. Actions are not always rational and are against their best interests.

I don’t consider supporting groups with anti-gay agendas as being Christian. Therefore I boycott them in support of my lesbian married co-worker. Do as you wish.

Michael Cudlitz ‘Abraham’ directed this episode. They know each other from working on Southland. TWD needed an actor who can ride a horse, Howell lives in Georgia, so Cudlitz called him up and asked if he’d do a cameo. He agreed as long as he wasn’t killed off. I thought his makeup looked like a takeoff of Don Quixote.
