Also assume that Byrd is no longer here. Lastly, I will assume that 1 position is filled in free agency. That gives us 3 new starters in the 3 weakest areas which I believe will be Left guard, Safety and D Back. The point of this is to say that I believe we will finally be able to say that there will not be any glaring holes heading into next season. It may seem like we say that every year but I truly think this will be a complete team with no major deficiency on the field next in 2014. Who knows, maybe McKelvin will show that Dback is not as big of a problem as initially thought.....

Unlike previous seasons, I wanted the Bills to lose late in the year in hopes of getting that ever so elusive QB in the draft. Now that we have HOPEFULLY found our QB, I just want them to continue to look better as a team even if they lose a lot. Being a season ticket holder, I will now be excited to see this team in December even if they have a not so hot record. I have always loved the pre-game with friends and family and now it will be much more enjoyable to watch this team progress throughout the season.

If Manuel is definitely starting, I would expect to see at least a quarter of Tuel (that's why I am worried).

If the Bills really are going to have to play Tuel in the opener, wouldn't you want to have him get as much play time as he can tomorrow. Yes, I know the starters will be out after one or two series but come on, Jeff Tuel is not beating the Patriots. Why not see what he can do in a half and maybe give him some confidence. Anything less than Manuel in the opener and it's all a moot point to me anyway.

What ever happened to that update Marrone was supposed to get 48 after the surgery. He was supposed to find out if EJ might get back earlier....

Load em up boys, this engine will be firin' on all cylinders now. Get EJ back and there won't be a game on the schedule where I feel the Bills don't have a chance.

I know they say festivities start around 3:30 but there is no mention as to where this is taking place. My wife is taking the kids and I would like to tell her where to go and what time. For those who have attended this game in the past, any info would be helpful. I assume the Field House is a good starting point?

The real reason I started this post was not to say that this team IS going to be different or WILL hit the ground running, it was to say that it is nice to finally feel GOOD about the direction of this team. The biggest pessimists out there cannot deny the new edginess to this team and the atmosphere that has been brought in by the youth movement (players and coaches alike.) I don't care if they prove me wrong (actually I do) and crap the bed again, the point is that I am going to enjoy every ounce of a good feeling this team is delivering to me NOW.

Love that you mentioned the 4th quarter point because if these guys can keep it close going in to the 4th, that very well might be the defining quarter for this track team.

This team has been absolute garbage for more than 10 years and even when those past teams put together a string of 4-5 games, you just never saw how they could keep it up. There was never a thought of wow, these guys have the talent to REALLY make some noise in this league. Well, here we are after 1 pre-season game and I have no problem getting excited about what I saw yesterday. You know why, I have not been excited about this team in forever and it's a hell of a lot more fun to feel like this than being in the mindframe that the team is spinning its' wheels. I am not going to wait until they win the division or are viewed as a contender, I am going to fire up this train right now. Get ready folks, this team seems like it actually learns from its' mistakes and I have a great feeling about the coaching staff in general. This is the fun part of being a Bills fan folks and if you can't bring yourself to be excited because you fear a letdown, then I urge you to let it loose. There will be ups and downs with this team but why not enjoy it while it's unfolding right in front of your eyes.....that parking lot for the home opener, ohhhhh myyyyyyyy

I actually think they are better than the ones they have had before (which I hated, but still...)

We had Art Donovan as a guest speaker for Super Bowl XXXV at our hospitality site and the guy was just pure gold. The stories and especially the way he told them were just classic. I still have the Super Bowl football he signed when he co hosted with Len Dawson at the event.

I would have thought this was possible a week ago but now, I just can't see it happening
