Stevie Johnson AKA The Joker!

It seemed like the defense was really PO'd about the refs putting :01 second back on the clock at the end of the half, which let the Bengals attempt & make a FG. The whole team, especially the defense seemed fired up about that in the 2nd half, especially Marcus Stroud after his forced fumble which led to a Bills TD. (Plus TO's trash talking I'm sure had our secondary PO'd.) In the 2nd half defense shut out the Bengals offense, forced 3 turnovers including a forced fumble that was returned for a TD. Plus, it was great to see the offense put up 28 2nd half points as well.

T.O. Sounds Off on the Bills/Buffalo
Jerry Jabber replied to May Day 10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It was nice to hear his comments about Buffalo & the fans. I agree, he is a Class Act and wish him the best of luck. -
The official the O-Line does not suck anymore thread
Jerry Jabber replied to 1B4IDie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seems like there is some debate of who's better, Levitre or Wood. According to Buffalo Rumblings, Wood's stats for the year are better then Levitre. But one thing is certain, both Levitre & Wood have the highest marks on the O-line. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2010/11/16/1816518/bills-vs-lions-notes-from-the-o-line-week-10#storyjump Buffalo Rumblings usually has an article around Tuesday's that shows the O-line's performance from the last game & for the year. -
Why isn't Spiller used more in the passing game?
Jerry Jabber replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I understand that, he needs to improve in his blocking, but Spiller seems to be doing better in receiving than he does running this year, so why not throw it to him a little more? Where did the wildcat go to? It's been at least a few games since it was used. -
If it wasn't for that phantom holding call against Hangartner (in which Hangartner tripped over his linemen's leg), Spiller would have gained 30+ yards on the swing pass from Fitz. We've seen Spiller get some good gains on those types of plays, but they have been too few and far between. I don't get why Gailey doesn't try more screens, swing passes or short dump-offs to Spiller?

Kansas City Chiefs focus-Ryan Fitzpatrick!
Jerry Jabber replied to DIE HARD 1967's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Die Hard, glad to see you back on here! I agree, the Chiefs will be game-planning for the Bills offense big time, especially after what how many yards we put on the feared Ravens defense. -
George Edwards is using a heavier 4 man front with Stroud & D. Edwards at DE, and K. Williams and Troup at DT. G. Edwards focus is shutting down the run, while it's working in the middle, it's not working on the outside. Stroud & D. Edwards are too big/slow to get to the RB's when they move to the outside. IMO, G. Edwards should use lighter DE's in the 4-3. Maybe G. Edwards should experiment with moving Stroud back to DT with K. Wiliiams and have either Moats or Coleman lineup at DE. Troup and the other DE (who is not used) can come in on certain downs (for 10-15 snaps a game). Thoughts...

I agree. The no INT on Reggie Corner? Even so if that wasn't actually an INT (which I don't see how?), no offensive pass interference or a holding penalty on Boldin? I saw two horse collar tackles from the Ravens defense that wasn't called. Why wasn't the last Bills fumble not reviewed? Even the announcers we're questioning if Nelson's forward momentum stopped.

Damn!! I had to hear it from Dallas Stars fans in 1999 when I was enlisted. Also, I has some A-hole Capitals fan try and run me & my girlfriend (now wife) off the road after Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals in DC. This piece of sh@t had his daughter in the front seat of his Chevy SUV (she looked like she was 5 years old).

I grew up in South Buffalo for 21 years until I joined the Marines in 1996. I get busted on for the Bills losing four straight superbowls. "BILLS stands for: 'Boy I love losing Superbowls'. "The Bills are moving to LA", "The Bills are moving to Toronto". After a while, I get sick of hearing it. Even recently, people saying that I have a lot of guts for wearing my Bills hat.

O-line breakdown from Sundays game
Jerry Jabber replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Who's complaining about crappy players getting cut? In the offseason, I expect to see a lot of crappy players get cut from this team. -
The Hank Bullough era returns to Buffalo

Maybe I should rename the thread to "The Stephenson/Bullough era has returned"? -
The Hank Bullough era returns to Buffalo
Jerry Jabber replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think you had couple of people trying to bet you $100. You'd be a couple of hundred dollars richer if you accepted those bets. I read the article from John Wawrow that he feels Ralphie is putting together a succession plan, I hope that is true. While I do give credit to Ralphie for putting a team in Buffalo and keeping it here for all these years, he's done a ton of meddling and has made some really terrible decisions, which is why the Bills are where they are now and no respectable GM/coach/player wants to come here. Hopefully that changes with a new owner. Plus, I hope the new owner makes some front office changes, including firing Tom Modrak. Modrak has been here 10 years (which is the same amount of time of the Bills playoff drought)...coincedence? -

Flozell Adams was available to play either Tackle position, I don't understand why the Bills FO didn't even attempt to go after him? -
The Hank Bullough era returns to Buffalo
Jerry Jabber replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You're right. It would be great if we could look back at these years and can compare them to the mid-80's when the Bills were horrible, then were built into a Superbowl team. That would be great if lightning can strike the Bills twice. -
The Hank Bullough era returns to Buffalo
Jerry Jabber replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll eat a big bowl of crow on that one. You were right, I was wrong. I think a lot of fans (including myself) saw how bad the Bills failed miserably under Jauron and thought with a better, tough minded coach, we could have gotten the extra 2-3 wins a year that Jauron's teams seem to blow in the 4th quarter. -

http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2010/10/12/1745685/bills-vs-jaguars-notes-from-the-o-line-week-5 The article has a great breakdown of the O-lines stats on run and pass plays. Sounds like Fitz does better on blitz pick ups when Green is not on the field. I sure hope the author is right and Green is the next Bills player that gets the boot.

The Hank Bullough era returns... Now an article
Jerry Jabber replied to mike oxhurtz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Copy cats...lol! "Rush defense is dead last in the league at 182.4 YPG (31st Raiders at 147.8 YPG)." I thought last year's run defense of 156.3 YPG was bad, this year's run D is easily surpassing them. It's obvious George Edwards is in way over his head. -
Look at the high turnover of quality players in Denver since McDaniels took over. Cutler, Marshall, Scheftler...

The Broncos got two 2nd round draft picks for Marshall. The Cardinals got a 3rd and a 4th for Boldin. If the Bills could get a deal around what the Broncos or the Cards got, then trading Evans would be a good option. After watching the first 5 Bills games this season, it's going to take more than one offseason to fix the mess on both sides of the both, so the Bills should stack up on draft picks. Now, waiting for "You don't trade our best players away..." talk? When you're 0-5, everyone is expendable!!
