  1. I know all of us Bills fans loathed Jon Bon Jovi because of his attempt to purchase the Bills and eventually move them to Toronto. Do Bills fans still dislike the guy? Personally, I can't stand him and can't stand seeing the guy on Direct TV commercials. Do other Bills fans still hold a grudge against Bon Jovi?
  2. Damn!! Goes to show you how cursed Buffalo franchises have been over the years. Curse of William McKinley?
  3. Great find! I had no clue Tonawanda and Rochester had NFL franchises at one point.
  4. Don't show that to Mariocre, he'll cry like a baby!!
  5. "Former Saints defensive lineman Akiem Hicks backed the coordinator over the head coach in this superfluous spat." Maybe with other former players agreeing with what Ryan is saying, it provides some validity as to why the Saints defense sucked so bad and it wasn't Ryan's fault. Almost everyone on here bashed the hiring of Rob Ryan.
  6. Rob Ryan claims Sean Peyton stripped away his power and forced him to run a different style of defense once Jairus Byrd was signed: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000666414/article/hicks-backs-rob-ryans-claim-saints-took-dcs-power
  7. 1. Tell Marv Levy to have a curfew on the Bills players for Superbowl XXV and to take the game very seriously. Also, go with a run heavy game as Belichek is expecting the Bills to pass most of the game. 2. Tell Marv to shut up his D-line coach before Superbowl XXVI so he doesn't insult the Hogs and those guys don't play with a big chip in their shoulders. 3. Tell Thurman to hold onto his helmet because someone from Harry Conick Jr's musical group will move his helmet and he won't be able to find it for a while. 4. Have Marv give Frank Reich as many reps with the offense as Jim Kelly for Superbowl XXVII. 5. Tell Jim Kelly not to use any shovel passes in Superbowl XXVIII. 6. Tell Jim Kelly and Thurman Thomas to watch their handoffs in the beginning of the second half of Superbowl XXVIII. 7. Tell Ralph not to fire Bill Polian. 8. Tell the Bills not to draft Todd Collins. 9. Tell the Bills not to trade for Rob Johnson. 10. Draft Tom Brady in the 5th round of the 2000 draft. 11. Draft Wes Welker. 12. Draft Rob Gronkowski. 13. Don't draft Willis McGahee, Mike Williams, Aaron Maybin, Eric Flowers, JP Losman, Trent Edwards, John McCargo, Torrell Troup.
  8. Considering the Bills play against the biggest cheaters in sports twice a year [Patriots], maybe it's to keep their practices confidential against them so they can't gather info on what the Bills are doing. I'm sure the Patriots are still cheating in some form or fashion, but haven't been caught yet. There's no way a modern era team can be so dominating for so long without cheating, especially in the days of free agency. Even other top teams like the Steelers, Ravens and Colts have had seasons where they missed the playoffs or barely made the playoffs, but the Patriots have been in the AFC Championship game almost every year for about ten years. Sound fishy to anyone...
  9. With it being in Fixboro, I hope the Bills destroy the Pats in front of their home crowd. I'll never forget being in the stands for the 56-10 blow out and would love to see same thing happen to the Pats in Fixboro.
  10. Great article! The Bills have not had a legitimate #2 WR since 2002, so it makes perfect sense to grab one either in rounds 1 or 2. If Watkins goes down due to injury, there goes the passing game, so the Bills need a #2 WR not only in case of injuries, but also when Watkins is getting double covered.
  11. I don't want the Bills to draft another small speedy WR like a Glass Goodwin, TJ Graham, Roscoe Parrish etc… The Bills need to draft a big, physical WR that can high point the ball, outmuscle and out leap DB's and can take some hits. Another reason why it's important to have a big, physical WR vs a smaller speedy WR is once it's starts snowing, the snow negates the WR speed, so you need the bigger WR to shed and break through tackles. Smaller speedy WR's are more injury prone as well (as we've seen with Glass Goodwin and Roscoe Parrish).
  12. In the words of the Iron Shiek "F@ck the Forbes!"
  13. Hopefully Treadwell will be available at #19 and the Bills take him. The Bills need a WR with size that can high point the ball and that can outmuscle DB's.
  14. Hoyer would be a good signing. I would hate to see EJ start any games this season, especially after how bad he played against Jacksonville last year. It's almost guaranteed that if EJ has to make any starts, that will Bills will not win any of those games.
  15. I agree 100% Besides Watkins, the rest of the Bills WR's are only under contract for one year. The Bills need a legitimate #2 WR to compliment Watkins.
  16. Have individual tickets gone on sale yet?
  17. Baltimore Ravens Sept. 11 (1 p.m.): Win. Flacco is coming off a knee injury/surgery and that type of injury usually hampers QB's for a while. New York Jets Sept. 15 (8.25 p.m.): Win. If Fitzpatrick does not sign with the Jets, then they're really in QB purgatory. Arizona Cardinals Sept 25 (1 p.m.): This game could go either way. In order for the Bills to win, they'll need to pressure Palmer the same way they pressured Brady in the second Patriots matchup last year. Right now, I'm going with the Cardinals. at New England Oct. 2 (1 p.m.): If Tom Brady’s suspension is reinstated, then I'll say Win. If not, I then I'll say loss. at Los Angeles Oct. 9 (4:25 p.m.): Win. San Francisco Oct. 16 (1 p.m.): Win. at Miami Oct. 23 (1 p.m.): Win. New England Oct. 30 (1 p.m.): Loss. at Seattle Seahawks Nov. 7 (8:30 p.m.): Loss. Hopefully the Bills will have a much better showing than the blowout of four years ago. Bye Week at Cincinnati Bengals Nov. 20 (1 p.m.): Loss. Jacksonville Jaguars Nov. 27 (1 p.m.): As long as EJ Manuel is not starting, then the Bills should Win. at Oakland Raiders Dec. 4 (4:05 p.m.): This game could go either way, but the Raiders got the better of the Bills last time and have a promising young QB in Derek Carr, so I'll go with a Loss. Pittsburgh Steelers Dec. 11 (1 p.m.): Loss (unless Rapistburger is hurt). Cleveland Browns Dec. 18 (1 p.m.): Win. Miami Dec. 24 (1 p.m.): Win. at New York Jets Jan. 1 (1 p.m.): Win. So, I'm going with 9-7 with no Brady suspension; 10-6 with Brady being suspended four games.
  18. The Bills need to move on from Harvin. He's injury prone and a head case. The Bills would be lucky to get six games from Harvin if he were to play this season anyways. IMO, the Bills need to draft a WR in the early rounds to compliment Watkins.
  19. Can't say I blame him. Nothing is more important than your health.
  20. It's a shame that the guy didn't have a better work ethic.
  21. No, I should have structured that statement better, but I do feel a lot of Bills fans overvalue certain players on the team while trying to discredit others such as Tyrod Taylor. Of course I blame prior management and prior coaches for the poor player selections in the past. I understand Woods was hurt, but from what I've seen from him during his time so far here in Buffalo, he's been a #3 WR at best. Even Bills management saw it the same way which is why Harvin was brought in last season as the #2 WR.
  22. Josh Reed, Stevie Johnson and David Nelson all say "hello!"
  23. Jim Monos, the director of the Bills player personnel doesn't seem sold on Woods either. http://www.buffaloru...ds-percy-harvin "But it could also mean that the front office is not satisfied with the play of some of the team's younger options, chiefly 2013 second-round pick Robert Woods; The 23-year-old Woods, who has effectively served as the Bills' No. 2 receiver for most of the last three seasons, seems to know that he'll need to prove himself to Buffalo's coaches if he's going to stay with the team past his rookie contract, which expires after next season." Harvin is injury prone and a head case and can't be relied upon to stay healthy for an entire season. Banking on Harvin to stay healthy for an entire season at this point would be foolish.
  24. -I agree 100% about Sammy. -Clay was very good last year, but not great. He's a great blocker and made some good catches and IMO, is an upgrade over Chandler. -You make great points about our RB's. I would like to see Roman/TT use Karlos Williams more in the passing game. -While we have nine WR's, I'm not thrilled about who we have outside of Sammy. Maybe some will emerge from this group, but I'm tired of going with castoffs from other teams hoping they'll pan out. TJ Graham had 4.4 speed, Glass Goodwin has 4.27 speed, just because someone is fast does not automatically translate them into a great player. -Good points about the draft. I'm hoping the Bills will draft a WR in the early rounds to compliment Sammy. Having a legitimate #2 WR to take some of the pressure off of Sammy will open up the passing game more, add more receiving TD's, as well as free up Sammy, plus the run game will benefit as well. The Bills only had 26 receiving TD's between TT and Manuel (that's below the league average). If the Bills had about another 8-10 more last season if Harvin could have stayed healthy, that could have made the difference in a couple of games and possibly going to the playoffs. -That would be great to get Glenn and Gilmore locked up before the season starts. How much more fired can the guy get already? Lol!
