  1. Glad we didn't get a penalty on that one
  2. The only WR on contract after this season is Watkins, so the Bills will have to replenish their WR corps.
  3. Part of the Bills problem at WR is that they have one good WR and the rest sucked. When that one good WR went down to injury, the receiving game was not existent. The Bills need at least three good WR's. Look at how Fitz tore up the Bills with the WR's they have. That's what the Bills need of they're going to continue to have sub-par/mediocre QB's.
  4. Glass Joe Watkins Bills need to stop drafting players from Clemson
  5. The Bills passing game is screwed. It's what they get for not drafting a WR in the early rounds or not picking up a FA like Boldin when they had the chance.
  6. Yes I am, I don't do illegal drugs. Same here, I would never dream of doing that crap. But, the Bills could get 2-3 good years out of him for a low round draft pick. I wasn't comparing Romo to Kelly, but every Bills QB since. I agree with you as the Bills need to be built for the long term, instead of short term results. In order to do that, the Bills need to suck for a few years (tank) to get high draft picks in order to turn the franchise around.
  7. I agree Stafford or Brees would be better options
  8. That's two more than any other Bills QB since Jim Kelly.
  9. The conversation has been about Romo and Taylor. You gotta stay off the drugs pal. Remember, just say "no!"
  10. With Taylor, I expected to see progression this year, instead we've seen regression so far. Maybe that's on Roman trying to make him into a pocket passer and not playing to his strength's, but the biggest knock on Taylor last year was that he did not throw enough over the middle. I think it is fair to see what he looks like at the end of the season before deciding if he can possibly be the franchise QB or to look for another option. I'd like to see him succeed, but we need to face facts, the Bills play in the same division as Tom Brady and Bill Belichek and eight or nine wins is not going to cut it. Last year, we saw the Jets miss the playoffs at 10-6. So if the Bills have any hope of making the playoffs, let alone winning the division, then they need an elite franchise QB to do it and not guys that show some potential here and there.
  11. Guess the Bills should have gave up on Eric Wood and Marcus Easley after they had injuries two years in a row. I'm sure Cardinals fans said the same thing about Carson Palmer.
  12. You conveniently forgot about week 1 (111 yards) and week 3 (119 yards). Taylor has been badly missing close to intermediate range targets. But since you want to focus on Week 2, look at how many three and outs the Bills had. Taylor's stats were inflated by two deep scoring plays (not that it's a bad thing), but we need more all around consistency at the position, not a one dimensional passer (only being good at the deep ball).
  13. I agree that Romo's contract is ridiculous, but he would be an upgrade over Taylor. Watkins and Clay would have career numbers under Romo. I think it's possible the rest of the league has figured out Taylor and try to make him play like a QB. The Ravens know Taylor inside and out as he was their backup for four years and ran the scout team and were able to shut him down. I'm hoping Anthony Lynn will try and put Taylor in situations that utilizes his strengths, but so far this season, he seems like he's a glorified JP Losman (throws a good deep ball, but is very inaccurate with everything else).
  14. Because throwing for 111 yards in week 1 and 119 yards in week 3 instills so much confidence
  15. It looks like Dak Prescott is the man in Dallas now. Should the Bills try and trade for Romo in the offseason, even if he only plays for two or three years, or is he too injury prone and too old? If he plays for two to three years, it gives the Bills time to properly groom a QB. Plus, Romo would get a lot of production out of Watkins and Clay as he would instantly upgrade the Bills passing game.
  16. +1 I feel we're going to have to go through growing pains with the Pegula's until they figure out how to run a successful football organization.
  17. You're right. Arians did a great job of filling in for Chuck Pagano in Indy while Pagano was going through cancer treatment. Russ didn't even bother to interview him and Arians has been very successful in Arizona.
  18. Ralph was always a meddling owner, which is why Chuck Knox left, John Butler left as well as others. The Bills GM back in the 80's died and Bill Polian who was the assistant GM got promoted due to the GM's passing. It was by luck that Polian got the job as GM and turned the franchise around. Polian was the one who convinced Jim Kelly to come to Buffalo as he did not want to play here back in 1983 when he was drafted.
  19. While you're at it, trade "blunt man" Dareus, Watkins, Clay, Incognito, Kyle Williams, and Glenn all for high picks and start the "Tank."
