  1. was hopin to make this my away game since I have some family in the area (who are Bills fan). I don't think I'll make it since I'm kind of poor right now. I'm thinkin Kansas City in December if we're in it.
  2. This whole thing doesn't make a lot of sense to me as when I was at SU for four years (04-08), I didn't miss a single game, except for one that blacked out (I believe it was against the chargers). I think the titans xmas eve game was probably blacked out, but I was at that game, unfortunately. To me, it just makes sense that the Bills should HAVE to be shown in Syracuse since it is a secondary market for the Bills and not the giants. This is comparable to Erie where lots of steelers and browns fans are forced to watch the Bills, as long as the sell out. Why is Syracuse different? I don't think this "sliver" of land that causes blackouts in syracuse is really relevant here, since the game is sold out. Whats the deal?
  3. Didn't read the entire thread so sorry if these already came up. A few recent ones that come to my mind that weren't on the original post... 98-99 Playoffs- Wild card loss to fins in Miami- reeds last game where he got ejected for standing up into the ref. 04 loss to the Steelers 3rd stringers that kept us out of playoffs- that Jeane st piere guy or whatever his name is takes us down in the 4th 05 Loss to Pats on Sunday night- The "golden god" tedy brushci makes his return, the announcers couldn't stop talking about him and the Bills blow a 16-7 (I think) 4th quarter lead- my roommate later told me he locked the door to his bedroom cause he thought I was going to become homicidal
  4. looked more into the slingbox and it sounds awesome... if I end up leaving, I'll have to find someone in Syracuse to let me put a slingbox in their house. Then I'll get all the bills, sabres, and SU games for free.
  5. thanks for the suggestions The NFL Gamepass sounds pretty cool. Is that all online or through direct TV or what? I'm assuming you can get it on a TV somehow if you can watch it in HD. I have heard about the slingbox, how does that work and would it work if I was in another country?
  6. So I am looking into going abroad for a year or so after I finish grad school in December either doing an internship or some sort of research fellowship. I will probably restrict myself to english speaking countries (i.e. Australia, Ireland, UK, NZ) with Australia being the most likely. Anyone know if it is possible to get Bills or Sabres games in any of these countries, either online or otherwise. I know this shouldn't be a worry given the sorry state of these franchises, but its honestly my biggest concern with going abroad as I never miss bills games and rarely miss sabres games. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!
  7. I would classify the Cortland/Syracuse/Ithaca area as primarilly bills country, with some giants fans and maybe a rare jets fan... This surprises me quite a bit and I do see it as them trying to lure away some Bills fan
  8. This is probably a dumb questiong, but with us both finishing 7-9, being the only teams that finished 7-9, and them beating us, shouldn't we get the 10th pick? Whats the deal with draft tie-breakers? They should be the same as the playoff tie-breakers
  9. I'm not comfortable with this either... As much as I was not a fan of peters, the o-line is really not lookin good. I think we gotta address this in the first round of the draft now. Otherwise, trents gonna be on his back every other play
  10. I dont care if he partys, as long as he plays well and stays out of trouble To be honest, it'd be cool if he had some sweet parties in buffalo... or was spotted at some bars with some celebrity friends... some more good press for B-lo
  11. I'm also really interested to see what everyone is sayin tomorrow-rome,herd,pti, around the horn... only thing is I am going to be working all day long, which sucks... Hopefully I can find some archived links or something tomorrow night... we need a thread on that or something
  12. omg... that is the funniest thing i have seen in like 10 years
  13. i agree... this definitely has gotten me excited, but there is still a lot of work to be done
  14. 10 bucks this guy comes crawling back
  15. The link that graham has to Jerry Sullivan's article is great... I could agree more with jerry when he says "What do we have to lose? Tranquility and calm in the locker room, among a bunch of nice guys who haven't won a damn thing?" It is just so great to see the bills as the opening story on sportscenter...
  16. This is seriously unbillievable!! I havent posted since after the 49ers loss, but this is just too nuts! I'm not really sure what to think, but I will say that it is nice to at least see the bills step out of their comfort zone and take a risk instead of just being the most conservative team in history. It just seems so crazy to me that he would actually come to buffalo. he must of gotten no good offers from other teams at all. This will make things interesting for sure. Better get your popcorn ready
  17. Canadians definitely do make the atmosphere at the Ralph better. Thats why 64% of the people arrested at the niners game were canadians. Those guys know how to party and know how to get ready. Canadians are good/crazy/passionate fans for the most part. But the people at the game yesterday were not the same ones that are usually at the ralph. They were much richer and less drunk.
  18. A friend told me that he saw a berman-Kelly interview the other day. Any idea if this is online anywhere? I'd love to see it but cant find it on espn.com. If not, was it sweet? Whatd they talk about?
  19. I gotta feeling that the final game at home against new england is gonna be moved to prime time, with playoffs/division on the line. But then again, I got a feeling about a lot of things
  20. You got a link to the video? I love watchin LT in post game press conferences after losses. He always seems soooo disapointed. Kind of makes me feel bad for him
  21. Sounds pretty awesome. Is this totally a Bills bar? Or are there a lot of other team's fans there? Anybody been to both Delilah's and Lincoln Station? Which is better?
  22. Hey, anyone know anything about watching the Bills in Chicago?? I'll be there for the weekend and am thinking about staying and watching the game in the city on Sunday instead of leaving early to try to make it back in time for kickoff. Plus, there is no bills bar where I live now. I see the Bills backers meet at Lincoln Station, which is close to where I'm staying Whats the scene here like? Is it worth staying to watch the game here? Any other sweet places where Bills fans congregate?
  23. at that point in the game, take the extra point, no question
