  1. The idea of playing them is indeed terrifying
  2. Maybe saturday night we can just meet at a bar downtown and have bills fans take it over. I remember the night before the browns game in cleveland last year there were bills fans everywhere... I'd love to see a repeat performance. So does tailgating near the stadium just not happen?
  3. I already posted this on the other thread, but in case you're not looking there... A buddy and I will be coming in Saturday afternoon. We are thinking of doing the budweiser tour that day and then going out saturday night. We are staying in earth city near the airport about 20 miles outside the city (not convenient at all). Before the game, we are definitely looking to tailgate. Our tickets came with a parking pass from a season ticket holder for a garage downtown. Will we be able to tailgate in the garage? Also, whats the open container policy? Do we have to worry about drinking there? If it seems like the garage situation will suck, we are totally down to walk somewhere else with our grill and cooler and meet up with people. Or I suppose if the tailgating downtown sucks altogether, we could just go to a bar. Either way, we would like to meet up with Bills fans and be somewhere that we arent sorrounded by lousy rams fans. I'm super pumped. If you locals could let me know what you think our best options are, thatd be awesome. Thanks
  4. Trent Edwards has ARRIVED!
  5. Until we beat the Pats, we're not the best team in the east
  6. I think the number one thing that we learned is that this team can play bad and STILL WIN. Nothing went the Bills way in this game, they looked terrible for 3.5 quarters, the o-line wasnt getting it done, but they STILL WON. A Win is a Win. A mark of a good team is still being able to win on your bad days
  7. also, anyone know anything about the tailgate situation??
  8. im just gonna assume, when looking at the seating chart, the north side is the top side since theres no arrow
  9. I'm lookin at a bunch of tickets on Ebay, does anyone know what side of the stadium the bills bench will be on?? What # sections is their bench in front of? Any help would be appreciated. Hope there will be a big Buffalo presence there
  10. agree with above poster... one week at a time... no jinxing this
  11. omg this is awesome... this is soooooo awesome... Today could not have gone any better (unless the pats lost)... This changes everything... I heard the last time matt cassel started a game was as a tight end at USC
  12. I love reading these... Heres what my ritual has been assuming I'm not going to the game (usually about 3-4/year)... 1. Wake up about 7am to Shout song on my phone 2. If I had cross country practice, go to that, usually run about 11-15 miles (no way to live) 2. If No practice, take a dump and read the sports page 3. Get back from practice/finish dump and make a quick breakfast 4. Shower 5. Put on Jim Kelly Jersey and Bills Zubazz Pants 5. Order Chicken Wings and pizza to be delivered around end of first quarter 6. Cold Beer 7. Call friends and talk about the game and how pumped we are/ get calls from friends at the game telling me I gotta be there 8. Watch Pregame 9. Get pumped 10. Game time/food/labatt blue 11. Pure elation or suicidal/homicidal thoughts This was all when I was in college at Syracuse... now I'm at grad school much farther away so im gonna have to go to a bar every week so things are gonna really change... plus there is no chance I'm gonna have to do a long run in the morning Nevertheless, I'm super pumped for Sunday... went to a buffalo wild wings to watch the colts preseason game and scout out the situation and it seems like a pretty good atmosphere and the wings r pretty damn good for being about 600 miles from buffalo
  13. I'm thinkin about bettin the house on the over. He should have 4 by the bye week. Thoughts??
  14. OK, I'm just sayin that for espn to say ANYTHING about the bills is giving them love. The fact that the whole piece wasnt a patriot lovefest is something we can all be happy about. With that said, I think 8-8 is pretty reasonable coming from outsiders who likely dont follow the team much. Plus, I dont want to see predictions with us winning more than 8 games, I like the bills being under the radar
  15. wiley also just named Bruce Smith as the best non quarterback in afc east history... I like this guy
  16. Just watched NFL live's afc east preview... Both "experts" (Eric Allen and Marcellus Wiley) predict 8-8 for the bills with the cheatriots at 13-3 and Jets at 9-7. One also listed Marshawn as the most important offensive player and leodis as the most impactful rookie... Always good when the Bills get at least a little love on ESPN... Jauron was also named as the coach on the hot seat Anyone else see this... thoughts?
  17. Hi, I am wondering if anyone has any experience with buying rams tickets. Some friends and I are planning on going to the game in st louis this year, but we arent sure how many we are gonna have yet. They go on sale friday and im wondering if I should just buy them then to be safe or if I should wait till I know how many I need and try doing the ebay/scalper thing later on. Anyone know how in demand the rams are in st louis? Go Bills
  18. I would take a bullet in the chest for the Bills to win the super bowl... no doubt about it
  19. ok, great, appreciate all of your help... NFLBighits, I doubt I'll be able to make the trip... maybe if the bills were actually playing in chicago... I am, however, thinking I will make the trip to st louis this year. I think its only about 2.5 hours from Champaign... a lot closer than buffalo
  20. Thanks a lot... I had a feeling someone was going to tell me BWW... I was hoping for a better answer as I've found there wings aren't all that good and definitely overpriced. I feel like there must be a better non-chain sports bar that shows all the games. Are they ok with letting you sit there for the entire game?? and do they always have the Bills on?? I actually have thought about doing the Bills backers thing. A friend of mine started one in Madison, WI, but he had little success as only 3 or 4 people would come each week and the restaurant didnt really cater to their bills fan needs. Also, any advice on trying to find a sabres game broadcast in the area would be appreciated too Thanks
  21. OK, so I am starting grad school at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in the fall and am wondering if anyone has ever spent any time there... I have always lived in the Bills viewing market and never miss games so I need a good place to go and watch them... There isnt a bills backers close by, but I figure there must be at least a bar that shows all the NFL games... Any help would be greatly appreciated
  22. And to think for a little while I actually thought that republican scumbag had a heart
  23. I have sat in the rockpile a number of times as both my brother and a close friend have had season tickets there... I really didnt get the impression that it was all that rowdy as most are season ticket holders, but its definitely not the family section as there are people who want to have fun for sure. I'd say as long as you don't have kids, go for it.
  24. honestly... I could care less what happened, as long as he is on the field against the seahawks
  25. Im not gonna get into this argument, but I will say that I am glad that Rome came out and said this. I generally dont like what Rome has to say, but I might like him just for this... Does anyone have a link to the video of this by chance???
