  1. I'm wearing orange and blue today... but only to rep Syracuse
  2. Ya, I am thinking I will likely end up watching online, but CBS must have a schedule of games they plan to be on nationally. I remember finding it somewhere last year, but can't this year. Also... no way the Orange lose in the first two rounds, especcially in Buffalo. I really wish I could be at the game. It'd be awesome watching SU play at HSBC. Its gonna be a very very pro Syracuse crowd there
  3. Do any of you guys know where I can find which games are planned to be televised nationally?? I want to know if I'll be able to watch the Syracuse game Fri night on cbs in HD or if I'm gonna have to go somewhere or watch it online. (Note: I live in Illinois). I went through this same thing last year. I know CBS just jumps around a lot but they must have primary games that they plan on showing all of over others. Any help would be appreciated
  4. Also... When I said Billick in above post, I meant Schottenheimer
  5. I wish I didn't have a job and had more time to post today... but it seems like everyone is over reacting big time... Though this isn't the most thrilling hire, I'm ok with it. The guy has had success in the past. He is an offensive driven guy, which everyone here was calling for... And most importantly, let be honest, he was probabaly the best guy we were going to get. We tried for cowher, tried for Shanahan, tried for Billick... This was probabaly the best guy we were going to get. IMO, it wasn't that we weren't willing to go after or pay a big name coach, the front office knows thats what they needed to motivate fans, but its that no big names would come- the offense is in shambles--> no qb, no line, one good WR, two mediocre RB's, etc... Why would a coach with a reputation risk it on this? Also, having to move you and your family to Buffalo doesn't help either... We likely got the best guy we were going to get
  6. I agree... and we'd be even more sorry in that Jauron would still be the coach
  7. The fact of the matter is, and I know this was already said... Rob, JP, and Trent suck no matter where they play... Buffalo, Oakland, Foxboro, it doesn't matter... I think he was just saying they need a new and a mentally tougher guy
  8. Don't get me wrong, I don't really lose any sleep over it. But for whatever reason, whenever the Bills come up or I am reading about them, which seems to be every day, I just have to think to myself- "If only we had started Flutie" or "If only we could of covered the kickoff" Maybe I just need to start spending less time on sites like these. Man, I just hate Wade Phillips
  9. I admit it, I think about this game every single day, no joke... I know, its a problem. When I see this on video I literally get upset to my stomach... Anyone else experience this? How can I get over this?
  10. I, for one, do care more about the Bills and the NFL than I do about the Sabres/NHL, but the gap is closing and this doesn't mean I don't take solace in the Sabres starting off well... Its hard enough to cheer for one losing team, but cheering for two can be rough. Like I said, for me, the Bills are more important than the Sabres, but only because I have been cheering for them really hard for a lot longer. Hockey was an afterthought for me growing up. I like watching the Sabres more and more every year. And although I think both teams have a lot of the same management flaws, I really think the Sabres front office is more committed to winning a championship than those at One Bills Drive. Just my two cents. And yes, Tyler Myers is very good and will be great.
  11. Also, we'll keep an eye out for these "thicklets," as you call them
  12. Nice guys... Thanks for all the suggestions. Just for the record, when I talk about priceline, I'm talkin about the name your own price negotiator option, not just booking it through them at normal price. By doing this, you can get some way cheaper rates. I think I will just try putting in low bids incrementally on priceline and see what I can get, unless Preston's son can hook me up with a good deal or somethin. Any other suggestions?
  13. My buddy and I are looking to get a room in DT Buffalo after the Dec 29th sabres-pens game and I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a good deal in the arena area. We'd like to be able to walk to the game and be able to stumble back from the bar late. Also, anyone have any experience booking in downtown through priceline? Is it better to try now or to wait and try to get a last minute deal? and what hotels have you ended up getting in the past and for what price? I know this is more of a Harbour Club 300 post, but I don't have name there. Thanks!
  14. I hope Hamden gets to play at some point... I don't know if its the "hanging 10 with hamden" video series on the bills website or the fact that he gives out fashion awards, but I think there is something hilarios about him... With that said, hes probabaly not any good, but who knows?
  15. I think are special teams are still solid despite the obvious major mistakes... Bobby April can't go on the field and stop those two plays from happening. Those were two bonehead plays and the players don't need April to tell them that
  16. http://www.buffalobills.com/media-lounge/v...c9-67f8aa2593e3 Im sure this has already been posted here, but I just watched it and got a pretty good kick out of it. Marshawn is hilarious in so many ways. I love that he is wearing Hamden's jersey in the interview
  17. Its a tough call. I think at this point we have to give Edwards till the end of the season, or at least until we're 3-10 to prove himself. Then we can say bye bye after this season and draft or sign a legitimate QB. To be honest though, I can't say for sure that Trent is any better than Fitzpatrick. I'd pull for Hamden just because I think he's hilarious
  18. In my mind, I thought there was no way it would be overturned- bad call... Sure, if you look super super zoomed in, the ball is maybe moving a little, but there is rarely a catch when a receiver grasps the ball so well that its not moving at all. If that would of lost us the game, I woulda been pissed
  19. I don't think they were talking about T.O. because in the intro they said something to the effect of "not the high profile receiver we all know" Whats the deal with this?
  20. This morning on sportscenter they opened the show with, among other things, talking about how the Bills were looking to get rid of some receiver that wasn't the well known one. Then, when they finally reached "Buffalo Bills" on the rundown on the left side of the screen, they just skipped over it and Adam Schefter (sp?) talked about a bunch of other crap. I doubt they were talking about Roscoe, why would that be the lead on sportscenter? Anyone know if they ever ended up saying anything about the Bills?? Whats the deal? I had to leave for work so I didn't get to wait around to see what they said
  21. yah thats what I figure I'll do... I see they have a buffalo wild wings, but I get so sick of that place. Same stuff all the time- mediocre, overpriced food and six dollar beers
  22. I'll be there this weekend on business... Anyone know any good spots to watch the game?
  23. I would think that the Bills would draw better ratings than the Giants in Syracuse so the FOX station would want to choose the Bills game, but maybe I'm wrong. There were a lot of Giants fans in Syracuse while I was there, but that was mostly other students. I always got the impression that locals were mostly Bills fans... probably because the Bills are sweet
  24. I was just thinkin to myself earlier today: "man, we better not lose to the Browns again this year... they really suck"
  25. Just finished watching this show on the history of the AFL that was on showtime. It was called Full Color Football: History of the AFL. I got lucky and switched to it while looking for something. They talked quite a bit about the 64 and 65 Bills and talked a lot about Jack Kemp, Cookie Glichrist, Lou Saban, etc. There was tons of footage I'd never seen before and a lot of good interviews with Kemp and Marty Schottenheimer. For me anyways, it was super cool. Seeing all the footage of the rockpile, hearing the players talk about how crazy the fans were, and just watching them dominate... If this is on again, I'd really recommend catching it if you can, especcially if you're younger like me, or maybe it would even be nice to relive the glory days if you're old enough. It is a running series about the AFL, so the other episodes should be cool too. I'm glad I have free HBO and showtime right now.
