ed hochuli graded best ref again this season...
lets_go_bills replied to Fezmid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know the Chargers/Broncos call was horrible and no one will forget it anytime soon. But Ed is one of the best refs. He's the only ref I recognize and I love him. I always knew a game would be called well when the "big guy with the tight shirt" was reffing. Other than "the call" he's always been great. And he knew he screwed up, he admitted it, apologozed for it and all. He's only human. Maybe the owners/league are to blame for making unreversable rules like that. -
so the ravens figured it out
lets_go_bills replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
x2 He is ferocious and plays hard. But he's obviously auditioning for a contract. Still... we need a born pass rusher like T-Sizzle. -
Ed Reed is scary good. So is Troy Polamalu. The comparison is not fair because Reed palys FS and Polamalu plays SS, Reed plays deep centre field, Polamalu plays closer to the line and is moved around a lot. That said, my preference is Reed, his range and closing speed is second to none. He's a ballhawk with unbelivable skills. I absolutely love to watch him play.

Hell yeah. Taylor Mays wouldn't make it past us, at least he shouldn't. That pick wouldn't surprise me at all, and I'd love it. A big time FS to play with Whitner, wow. They would just feed off each other and make each other better.

Why is Matt Millen on Football Night in America?
lets_go_bills replied to Steely Dan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Holy crap. I was thinking the same thing. The were saying that he was going to be on the air, and I was like why? He's a moron who over an eight year period took a terrible team and somehow made it worse, culminating in a 0-16 season. A fired GM retard is on NBC. On second thought, he fits in with the other retards: Bettis, Barber and Olberman. Terrible crew. -
What? Our owner just retained a guy who's had three straight losing seasons, showing no signs of improvement, all the while going 2-8 down the stretch which includes an 0-6 mark against the division. Jauron's coaching decisions can directly be contributed to three losses. I'm sorry, but your post makes no sense, so yes you are dreaming.

Shanahan taking a year off
lets_go_bills replied to BuffaloWings's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sounds like he's angling to coach the Bills if you ask me I'd love him here, great offensive mind, great game/time management and makes few in-game mistakes. Let's hope Jauron gets canned next offseason and Shanny is brought here. -
It's time to grade the 2006 Bills Draft
lets_go_bills replied to BillsVet's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not bad. Whitner would be much better in his natural SS role with someone good next to him playing FS. I think you're wrong about Kyle Williams, he has been quite a find and is a good player. The is becomming fairly consistent and is turning into a good player. He is more than a depth player, he is a decent starter and may still get better. DT could still use an upgrade, yes, but I truly think you've underestimated Kyle's contributions to the team. -
“I’m Ko Simpson with the Buffalo Bills. I am worth millions!” Okay, that alone is so funny that he should be let off. If he actually said that, my god that is histerical.

Sold to a Jim Kelly backed group. Stays in Buffalo, and Season Ticket sales go through the roof.

EVEN WHEN DJ'S TEAM APPEARED GOOD, IT WAS BAD
lets_go_bills replied to Dr. Trooth's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't like DJ either and he won't get it done, but I don't care what your O and D ranks, all that matters is what you've got in Win/Loss columns. -
Against a Belichick-coached defense that KNEW we were going to run too. A waste indeed. But then again, this wasn't the first time we've wasted terrific running performances this year. You'd think when your RB has over 100 yards and is averaging 8 yards a carry you'd win. But not when DJ is coaching, nope.

Age and Outlook on the Bills
lets_go_bills replied to The Avenger's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I still love 'em. A lot. I can't turn my back on them, I can't walk away. While I'm becomming more and more convinced that this team won't win until Ralph is not the owner, I still get filled with optimism as each new season approaches. Being 22 I'm not old enough to remember much about the Super Bowl years (but I met Jim Kelly in 1993 when I was 7), but I've always been a fan, as my dad always has been and raised me to be one. I've only really been following the Bills since 1998, when I was 12, and my enthusiasm has grown each year since to the point where I live and breathe Bills football. Right now, this is certainly the low point of my fanship with the Bills. It is not easy to be a fan and I'm really hurting. -
Phoenix havent sold out either!
lets_go_bills replied to Steve In Atlanta 2008's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep. If the Bills go and land Vilma, Suggs or Birk, the hype will build again. And fast. But yeah, I'm shocked that Arizona can't sell it out. What is the deal? They had no problem filling the stadium during the regular season, and for once they make the playoffs and now they may be looking at a blackout. Crazy. -
I was surprised by Mangini firing
lets_go_bills replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Jets had a go-for-broke offseason. They brought in all kinds of guys, handing out contracts like samples at Costco. Tannenbaum should have been fired, but Mangina took the fall. Favre came apart down the stretch and turned the ball over A LOT. It's too bad he had to be the one to get canned. On the other hand, our coach IS the problem and didn't get fired. I'm so confused. -
I would love Birk here. He is just what we need, a saavy, nasty, intelligent, and proven Center. He would really bring the line together. He would have a tremendous impact.

While we don't like it, it was Ralph's decision to keep him. We should throw things at Ralph and just yell at Jauron to resign.

Chris Johnson..."Rookie of the Year voting is bogus"
lets_go_bills replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What an ignorant baby. Ryan plays a much tougher position in QB, where rookies practically never have success. He also played on a team that was a preseason favourite to be the worst team in football. He also was playing for a team with a rookie HC, a suspect line, a suspect receiving corps, and an unknown commodity in Turner. No one is taking away from what Chris did, but he did not deserve the O-ROY, Ryan did. The NFL/AP got it right. Shut up Chris. -
Douche bag indeed!

Bills fans get what they paid for?
lets_go_bills replied to LGB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If higher ticket prices directly lead to a winning record and playoffs then I'm all for it. Hell, I'd even pay double!
