The Funniest Lyric Screwup You've Heard Or Made.
BLZFAN4LIFE replied to Steely Dan's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Listening to Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville, "but there's booze in the blender" and my daughter (6 at the time) looks at me with shock and horror and says, boobs in the blender?!?! -
That sounds like a plan. Allow me to make a few recommendations: - The Comebacks - Love Guru - Anchorman - The Legend of Ron Burgundy (hilarious movie)

I like to start with Judas Priest's Turbo Lover. If that doesn't work, I break out the chloroform, duct tape, and handcuffs. -
indicator of how important safetys are today in the NFL
BLZFAN4LIFE replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is where I have to disagree, I would assume that our db's are instructed to keep the play in front of them, not to take the risk of making a play by jumping a route. -

Put Ed Reed, Adrian Wilson, Troy Polamalu, and Brian Dawkins on the Bills roster at the same time, and no one would know who they were. Safeties in DJ/PF's T2 D are not asked/expected to make plays, just prevent the big ones from happening. There's nothing I LOVE more than to see the safeties lined up 10 yards off of the LOS and backpedaling at the snap on 3rd and 5. This D actually concedes the first down to prevent the big play. It's safe football, scared football, weak football, it's football Dick Jauron's way! -
Poll: The gayest song that you can't turn off?
BLZFAN4LIFE replied to SDS's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I actually bought Gordon Lightfoot's greatest hits CD about 8 mo's ago. GL had some great songs... Sundown, If You Could Read My Mind, Edmund Fitzgerald, and Early Morning Rain. Great Stuff. -

I can see her lyin back in her satin dress In a room where ya do what ya dont confessSundown ya better take care If I find you been creepin round my back stairs Sundown ya better take care If I find you been creepin round my back stairs Shes been lookin like a queen in a sailors dream And she dont always say what she really means Sometimes I think its a shame When I get feelin better when Im feelin no pain Sometimes I think its a shame When I get feelin better when Im feelin no pain I can picture every move that a man could make Getting lost in her lovin is your first mistake Sundown ya better take care If I find you been creepin round my back stairs Sometimes I think its a sin When I feel like Im winnin when Im losin again I can see her lookin fast in her faded jeans Shes a hard lovin woman, got me feelin mean Sometimes I think its a shame When I get feelin better when Im feelin no pain Sundown ya better take care If I find you been creepin round my back stairs Sundown ya better take care If I find you been creepin round my back stairs Sometimes I think its a sin When I feel like Im winnin when Im losin again C'mon DC, there's no shame in liking GL. Old, yes, but gay, definitely not. GL is a classic. I would have to say anything by Elton John. I like his music, even though I'm aware that some of it is pretty gay. I can't believe I just admitted that. Here's a toast to internet anonymity. -
Dee Plane, Dee Plane! As a kid, I used to live for the Saturday night lineup of The Love Boat and Fantasy Island. RIP Mr. Roarke!

I got a Remington foil shaver as a gift and tried to shave with it a few times. I didn't work at all. I'll stick with the Mach 3.

I see your $16,000, 100 cases of beer, several cases of meat, and raise you 4 bottles of Jose Cuervo. -
Bills "Thank You" highlight video

I could make a four minute and nine second low light video of the '08 season that would make you vomit on your keyboard. -
I've hated the thumbtacks ever since the Music City Screw Job. It was good to see them lose in front of their home fans. The only positive that I find in that team is Kerry Collins. It's a great redemption story that was cut short last night. Kerry was pretty immature early on in his career. He battled alcoholism and was labeled a racist for referring to a couple of teammates in a derogatory manner. He bounced around the league, seems to have his life together, and this was a golden opportunity. I would have liked to have seen Collins go a little further. Perhaps next season, with a different team.

Perhaps Dr. Cal Lightman would like to evaluate the following statement: “It is well-known that I share many of the fans’ dissatisfaction with our offensive game management,” Wilson said in a statement. “That being said, I believe that this team, at this time, is better served by continuity in the coaching staff rather than a disruptive overhaul.” Wilson said he is confident the Bills are headed in the right direction under Jauron. “The team played hard all year long, and there are many positives to build on,” Wilson said in his statement. “This is not to say that we will be complacent. In my discussions with Dick and our senior football people, the issues are recognized, and I am confident they will be addressed.” Wilson added: “I believe in the last few years we have gotten close personnel-wise and look forward to another strong draft, more assertive veteran leadership and continued improvement from our young quarterback.”

If it's not cloudy where you are...
BLZFAN4LIFE replied to BLZFAN4LIFE's topic in Off the Wall Archives
It's too cloudy to see the moon in Charlotte, and the Panthers game is unwatchable as well. Looks like another team with a bye week will bite the dust. -
That an NFL team can play anywhere, even in economically depressed cities, as long as the league maintains the core concept of a self supporting organization, dedicated more to the sport of football than to enormous profits. His actions back up his beliefs. ^ This is the comment I was responding to. IF these are RW's beliefs, wouldn't it make sense to sell the team to an owner who would keep them in town and make a serious commitment to winning?

Couldn't you argue that someone would have to be out of their mind to commit a heinous crime such as rape or murder, therefore no serious criminals should be executed?
