Is it just me or has DaQuan Jones been a shell of himself this year? Last year before he went down he might have been the best player on our defense...this year I have barely even noticed him.

You mean they let poor refs referee multiple Super Bowls? The worst NFL ref still infinity times more knowledgeable than any poster on this forum and likely is considering things posters wouldn't even know to consider. Essentially, most posters don't even know what they don't know about things that come into play.

McD didn't brain fart the challenge, John Parry, the former NFL ref thought it was worth a challenge and so he threw the flag. Some people are just never happy. Bills put up 30 points and would have been 37 without Coleman dropping a perfect slant throw for a TD that turned into an INT.

The Bills typically play with light boxes preferring to play two high shells. They also usually play a nickel over front aligned to the strong side almost exclusively on D, meaning teams can find ways to attack it early on before the Bills adjust and do different things within that to help. Today the adjustments didn't work so well. It happens. Typically the Fins have success running the ball but the Bills shut the passing game down. They didn't today. Benford being out probably hurt some, but Fins stayed patient and kept taking what the Bills gave them, which isn't usually what happens. In typical form, people are going to freak out and overreact. Bills D has a lot of new pieces and they are probably still working thru some things. They haven't been up to their really good form we expect in most games. Likely they don't have the right pieces they want to run it as well as they normally do, but they are making due. Would expect them to continue to get better thru the end of the year.

So would you rather then make more stops in the run game and give up 80 yard TDs thru the air? They are still working thru some things on D and I don't think they have their ideal pieces in place right now to run it the way they would prefer. All in all they are doing pretty well outside a few games. They are still top 7 or 8 in terms of scoring defense. I would expect them to continue to improve as the year goes on, they have a lot new pieces on D.

Turned out resting them today didn't end up hurting us thankfully.

Yup, it has nothing to do with "not being able to stop the run". They simply are willing to give up runs sometimes and believe they will make enough disruptive plays to force 3rd and longs and take advantage of teams that aren't patient enough to keep doing it to prevent deep throws and maintain their two high shells. I mean they just held the Seahawks to 32 yards rushing last week and their RBs combined for 12 carries for 16 yards. Do we really have memories this short?

No, just someone who has watched that a single regular season game is meaningless to try and take anything from long term. Otherwise you'd expect every team to be terrible considering all of them play bad games at different times throughout the year. It happens every week, every year and has for as long as football has been played.

Watch more football is all I can say. You clearly don't watch enough if you believe what happens in a random regular season game means much of anything.

I guess the Bills having the 2nd best win percentage of any team in all 4 major sports leagues over the past 4.5 years behind only the Chiefs must mean they only beat bad teams huh? They beat the Chiefs 3 straight times in Arrowhead in case you forgot. Playoffs the D has sucked when we needed it in those games but either way, trying to extrapolate a game against the Fins to mean something about the playoffs is honestly ridiculous.

Either way, whatever game they played, they lost. In a game they needed a lot more than we did and quite possibly ended their season. If you want to keep whining about things as if every game will be the worst case scenario then that's on you.

It's irrelevant to the topic. Every game is its own entity. So the Chiefs should apologize for looking like crap most games on offense and barely scraping by teams all year? It doesn't matter how you play in a single game. Only the result.

Yeah it wasn't good. It's going to happen sometimes. Fins refused to abandon the run game like they usually do and try to push the ball down field and they stayed patient. Kudos. It still wasn't enough. Imagine how the Fins must feel playing an A game and we play our C-ish game and still win.

Divisional games can be funky at times. Do you believe the Browns are better than the Ravens? I guess it was better for them to lose to the Browns last week instead of "being a better team that needed to win at the last second"? Nobody cares about how at the end of the year, only how many. Many on this board should repeat that until they understand it better.

Kinda amazing considering we win more than any team in major pro sports other than Kansas City since 2019. Some people are just clueless as to how good and dominant we have been. A normal Bills game over the course of the last 4.5 years has been the Bills winning by 10 points.

They tried that with replay on PI last year. Blatant DPI was not being overturned and coaches just stopped throwing the flag because they realized it was all a ruse and that it went away after a year because the NFL essentially told replay review to almost never overturn it. It's never happening.
