    We got the wrong Samuel.

Y'all will be hating this signing by mid-season.  He was supposed to be able to stretch the field when he came our of college, but all he is a mediocre version of Diggs who can run a jet sweep occasionally.  This is a waste of 15 million.

I was all onboard with Beane finally make this team younger and cheaper, but instead he wastes money on two exceedingly mediocre WRs.

He never played with anyone like Allen before.

This is an elite specialization pick up from Beane.  This is PERFECTION. Y'all realize what this going to do for Diggs and whomever the Bills pick in the draft to replace Gabe?

Now the Bills can threaten the safeties in multiple ways to open up the intermediate and short, or even isolate corners and safeties to make deep routes more dangerous

And open up space for Kincaid

This is the exact guy I kept  naming as who I thought Beane would sign.  Fair deal too.  I think he’s going to be a good addition and allows the team to not have to lean too hard on the rookie as well.

Im even more convinced Beane is in the hunt for a WR1 Diggs replacement in the draft now and not just a WR2 who might become a WR1.

So I think this increases the odds Beane is aggressive come the draft to go get his guy.

Dude is a speed demon...4.31 40 time...fills the John Brown role for us we have sorely missed

  4. Wow...big upgrade from Davis...Bills going to be dangerous as hell next year offensively...add a WR in round 1 now...

It's a 3 year $24 million deal that could go up to $30 million with incentives...$15 million guaranteed...

Samuel is the definition of burner...he runs a 4.31 40, likely filling the John Brown role for the Bills that they have been missing.

    Falcons are loaded

They still have Kirk Cousins, a 36 year old QB coming off an Achilles tear, so that doesn't make a big difference. Ask Dan Marino how QB's typically look after one of those...and he was a better QB than Cousins ever dreamt about being as a kid.

How much cap space do the Bills need for their picks?

$3 mil or so when you factor the difference between their picks versus who they are displacing on the 51 man roster.

The common thought is teams need about $12M in space to take care of draft picks and to have some “room” to sign players for in-season needs (injury replacements).

it's only $3 mil for picks when you factor in the difference between who they displace on the active 51 and their contracts.

They traded the backup center and released the starter - and immediately said the “plan” was McGovern.

They don’t want to telegraph needs.  If they didn’t do that the whole league knows that Center becomes a top priority.

Saying that at least makes them wonder what we’ll do.

A center is very much in play for Miami maybe in RD 1 (trade back a bit for more picks?) and Washington very early in RD 2.

Or they meant what they said.  The simplest answer is usually the right one.

  8. Comp picks incoming!!  Way more than what the Bills would have given...good deal for him...not sure if he is worth it but this might be a move to help get a winning "culture" in that locker room, just was never going to get that money from the Bills...

  9. Surprisingly low for a player who was as important as he was to the Chiefs...thought he was their best player at times on D and he is in his prime at 26 years old. Especially after Patrick Queen got 3 years $41 million and he was a cut candidate until he got paired with Roquan Smith.

Bonus as he is no longer on the Chiefs.

Shocking. Didn’t he say he wanted to play for them while he was still under contract?

He's from South Florida, no surprise he would want to go home.

Hey I hope he's great! I just won't bet on a full season and hope we don't have to go get bodies in October.

Umm...OK...you can't "bet" on a full season from anyone, but if you had to, he looks like a far safer bet than others on the roster who you probably "would" bet on.

  12. Draft Brian Thomas Jr and maybe a 3rd/4th round WR to add to the mix also.  Sign another bargain FA for competition.

With Harty released and now Gabe signing with the Jags, what is the strategy/approach for WR? Are we going dumpster diving in Free Agency and then hoping we hit in the draft at WR?

Our current roster is Diggs, Shakir, Sherfield and Shorter (inactive all season). Currently not scaring anyone and probably in the bottom 10 as a WR group.

Anyone else uncomfortable? That’s a lot of pressure to hit on WR that is impactful in the draft! Do we trade up?

Thoughts or perspective on Beane’s approach?

    We also have Hamler

But yet we only got 7 games out of him. I doubt we get 10 out of him again.

Doesn't exactly look like a player who is injury prone does it?  Perhaps look at his body of work instead of one season?
