with what money?

Maybe...but I think there are still some residual hard feelings from the Jones camp on the lengths they had to go to even get a "decent" deal for him. I doubt they take that discount again.

The Bills need a defense to complement the Allen playoff offense. Yes, the word complementary is prominent. They also need a reliable kicker. The offense should be efficient but like KC, doesn't need to take crazy risky chances until it's absolutely necessary. They don't need to be the greatest show on turf. Unfortunately our defense chokes in crunch time and/or the injury bug hits us. Somehow the Bills D needs to be playoff ready because they will see Mahomes, Burrow and Lamar for the next few years if we are fortunate enough to keep making the tournament.
The Bills need the opposite of what they have on D. They need a D that performs OK during the regular season and turns it up at key times in the playoffs rather than pulling a "Lamar" in the playoffs.

I don't see a whole lot of press for this guy but he has been nothing short of amazing with what he has put together in KC and how he has managed the draft and turn over of personnel without missing a beat.
Just looking at the D, I was blown away last night when it was said that Chris Jones is the only remaining guy on D from their SB of 4 years ago. Here's a look at the draft over that span.
2020: Willie Gay - 63
Sneed - 138
2021: Bolton - 58
2022: McDuffie - 21
Karlaftis - 30
2023: Uzomah - 31
I would love to see somebody go through all of the FA deals he made over this time to complement the draft picks. Amazing stuff.
Sure their rookie deals will start to expire and KC will probably not be able to re-sign all of them, but he turned the entire over in 4 years and they still won the SB, so there's no reason to think he can't do it again.
The draft typically tends to even out over time...sometimes teams go on good runs with picks then have some not so good runs. Some pretty in depth studies show that almost all teams regress towards the mean over a big enough sample size.

I'd always prefer to know exactly what I need rather than letting the other team know exactly what they need, especially when there is no result that ends the game in that situation.

I think we're better than them. We just don't play like it in the big moment in the playoffs. We can beat any team in the league when we don't beat ourselves
The games they play are almost dead even over the course of many games...points, lead changes, etc...most times it comes down to making or not making 2 or 3 plays a game at the right/wrong times which is enough of a difference against two teams that are essentially for all intents and purposes are dead even. The slimmest of margins they are losing in the playoffs to them the last 2 games.

Yeah, it was Mongo, Flair, Arn, and, who was that other guy? Oh.... yeah. Awkward.
Needless to say - no one's going to be replaying anything of Mongo with the rest of the Horsemen on WWE TV programming or released on home video, through no fault of his own. Shame.
Arn and Ole Anderson? The Minnesota Wrecking Crew??

Mahomes and Reid made a deal with the devil?
Seems improbable to have so many situations where it's close to 50/50 that they always seem to come out on top in.

Like the Bills right?Annoying year … third seed Chiefs rested their players Week 18 whilst the Billa are battling to get in to the playoffs…
And injuries sustained in that game were a big reason they ultimately lost to the Chiefs.

The Chiefs have that Patriot like quality under Brady that when the games get close near the end they figure out ways to pull them out and be on the right side of them regularly, especially in the playoffs.
It's kind of sickening.

Honestly they can all f**k off

He was the most dominant return man ever……litterly won them the game against the Cardinals with punt returns.
Hester was amazing. There was a 2 year period where literally every time they kicked to him you thought he was going to score.

The media has turned this into the NFLs version of Prince Harry and Megan Markle versus the Royal Family where people just make sh!t up and treat it as facts then basically create stories out of thin air and just go with them.
It's beyond ridiculous by now.

It looks like something from a rec league.

He better hit the JUGS machine every day this offseason. Premier talent. Has to make those catches...he likely cost the Bills 3-4 TDs alone this year with his drops.

To me, this personally says they were not happy with Butler's ability to get Elam to a place where he could contribute. Especially the part about "mutually decided to part ways". Yes, he may have gotten Benford and Jackson up to speed and helped Douglas integrate well, but the Bills spent a first round pick on Elam who has massive amounts of untapped talent and I feel they are laying some of that at Butler's feet. At the very least they believe he should have been able to help more than he did over the last 2 years.
Likely both sides were getting frustrated with McD believing he didn't do enough with Elam and Butler pointing out all the others who performed well above expectations. Likely just both said they had enough and had reached an impasse. Butler also may have felt he did enough for DC consideration but McD likely laughed him off and said we gave you a premier talent and you did nothing with him, how can I justify that?

That has a chance to be a really good hire...he has experience at both WR and QB and can help both groups understand where the others are coming from and what they are seeing on the field.

Wrecks Ryan going to work on being the last one in and the first one out...but at least him and McCarthy could get some great BBQ together down there.

On TV, I've watched every game since 1987, which the Bills are 316-277 in.

They haven't lost a regular season game by more than 6 points since mid November of 2021 against the Colts at home. That's by far the longest in the NFL and completely absurd at how good they have been over that long period of time. Irritating they don't have more to show for it.
