We just saw what the Chiefs look like when the refs aren’t allowed to give them help. Goodell & NFL knew all eyes were going to be on the officiating after the backlash. I think the Bills/Eagles would’ve been much more competitive. I think Buffalo ends up short, but not by much.

Sirianni to the refs after the first BS penalty call that wiped out that 4th down conversion:

We knew against the Ravens, Rams & Lions we had nowhere near the defense to compete in a SB.  Philly's defense tonight was fearless and abusive. I've never seen rocky Mahomes get that overwhelmed. It was like Fangio knew the exact play coming.  Until we lock down a dominant front 4, it's going to be more of the same.

It happened against the Raiders last year and against TB in the Super Bowl...

The Bills would have stuck in the game. At times the Chiefs looked disinterested on offense and Mahomes had zero time. Not saying the Bills would have solved the Fangio defense but it’s conceivable it wouldn’t have been 0-34. Pretty much any team could have done better than 0-34. Mahomes played his worst game of his career and got exposed as a Reid inspired QB. Once it was clear the Eagles owned the LOS Mahomes fell back into his Texas Tech script and failed to play the script Reid was calling. The ball which was out in 1.7 seconds vs the Bills soft zone defense was held as the Eagles defense tore through the KC OL. It was a 4 only 5 exhibition. Mahomes crumbled and at one point was 2 picks to 0 TDs and 50% passing. Such a poor game I wonder if Mahomes was concussed.

I mean Fangio has not fared very well against Allen in his previous meetings, including the absolute drubbing he got when he was Denver's HC, had an elite D and just threw his hands up after one TD by Allen when he called the perfect play and he still scored anyway.

They didn't blitz a single time against the Chiefs and were getting quick pressure all game long.

I just think that would not have happened as frequently against the Bills.

Did you notice he was terrible at actually AIMING the punts, resulting in a lot of touchbacks, and that his hangtime was putrid?

Lot of people don't understand there is far more to punting in the NFL than how many yards you average.

The hidden yards you give back by kicking TBs instead of pinning teams inside the 10 are pretty costly.

I totally agree on the oline. However, we likely would have had the same issues Cook & Co. had against the chiefs. It would’ve been air it out Josh for 4 quarters. We could never stopped Barkley so it might’ve become a shootout. It would’ve been a fun game to watch, imo.

Exactly what issues were those that Cook was having while shredding their defense for 85 yards on 13 carries for a 6.5 yard average and adding another 49 yards thru the air on 3 catches?

  6. If they didn't get the message from the Chiefs loss to TB in the Super Bowl years ago, they should have gotten it loud and clear today.

The way to make KC look bad and beat the brakes off them is to get a 4 man rush that collapses the pocket and gives Mahomes no escape lanes and no time to throw, harassing into bad throws and mistakes all game long.

Get to work Beane...everything you do in the off-season should be to build a D-line capable of this.

luckily, we are rarely playing catch up, allowing opposing offenses to simply run

playing in shootouts I’ll take any edge rusher that can end a drive

There is a saying that is very valid.

"You have to earn the right to rush the passer by stopping the run first."

Parsons rarely does that unless teams play into their hands by trying to throw a lot.

Garrett is better in just about every way. Even when he declines he'll be better than Crosby. DE is the most important need for McDermott's Defense and he's the best in the league right now

Maybe...but he doesn't seem like a player that raises his game in big moments. Seems to disappear actually. We got enough of those players on D.

Also Garrett is not even close to being as good against the run
