  1. Williams has no chance...
  2. Maybe they will let him paint his nails multi-colored instead of just one.
  3. It's really irrelevant because his foot slipped. Of course it's going to be a horrible kick. Any time that happens, and it happens quite a bit over the course of a season in the NFL, the kick is going to look like that. I don't know how they compare. All I know is that players during the game were slipping all over the place and it had rained heavily prior to the game and for several days prior so the field was wet. He has been fine this year. Has made all the kicks he hasn't slipped on, that's really all you can ask for. I'm much more upset about his kick out of bounds than I am about a misswd FG when he slipped. It's a one off play, nothing to really see there, unless it starts happening every other kick or something.
  4. Yes!! Fairbairn just won me my fantasy game with that kick...came back to win after having a 15% chance coming into the game thanks to the bevy of 50+ yard FGs
  5. It was a bad throw...he basically threw it like the Texans player was his WR. Looked like a classic under thrown deep ball from Fitzy that used to get picked all the time.
  6. Bears D is stifling the Texans this half
  7. That was just bad Williams.
  8. Is someone calling the Bears on the sidelines and asking to speak to Amanda Hugginkiss? 🤣🤣
  9. I'm saying it wasn't their QB, the protection the team typically shows rises to a much higher level than any other player.
  10. I mean it's hard to keep your job as a head coach when you are literally bad at everything including when to challenge. Gotta be able to hang your hat on something.
  11. He wasn't their QB, it's a little different
  12. Have you ever kicked a football before at all, let alone in a game in live conditions? If not you should probably defer to the person who did it for 3 years. Just saying.
  13. Could you imagine what would have happened to the player if they hit Josh Allen like that by our bench? The entire team might have thrown a punch at him. What an embarrassing answer from the Bears. Allowing your QB to get punked like that and doing nothing to stand up for him.
  14. Man, I don't care if that hit was in bounds, I damn sure am not allowing a player to hit my rookie QB like that right in front of the bench and nothing happens. Someone needed to take one for the team and do something to protect their QB. Embarrassed for the Bears.
  15. Wow...welcome to the NFL Caleb Williams...guess the refs must not be a fan of him painting his nails.
  16. Yeah, but then he had games like he had against Green Bay where he got sacked 7 times and was 16-33 for 145 yards, 2 INTs and a fumble lost and they got blanked 22-0 and looked clueless.
  17. Looks similar to Allen as a rookie in terms of throwing the ball and awareness etc.
  18. Yeah it's tough on wet fields...you have to shorten your stride with your plant foot to make sure it stays underneath you but you also have to make sure it's long enough so you can generate enough power on longer kicks. It's a tough balance to strike, especially when you aren't getting much practice with it...it's not a normal thing that happens a lot. Shorter FGs are non-issue because you don't need much of a stride since you can almost just leg the ball thru from a standing position...kicks over 40 can't do that tho.
  19. And yet they are still in a 6 point game closing in on midway thru the 3rd quarter with the Texans...
  20. No likely not, but those type of players have a knack for rising up at big times even when their play during the rest of the game might be fading as they age. He has looked pretty good so far this year. Just need him to stay healthy and not overuse him during the regular season.
  21. Cant throw it much better than that... Dell might still be running if he caught that
  22. I mean, we have Von who has been that in his career...he hasn't been healthy yet for us when we need him tho.
  23. WTF? Did that chain crew guy just fall down by himself? Why do they constantly hire old dudes for these jobs? Are they trying to have someone die in one of these games?
  24. The difference in many of those games? Chris Jones saving the game on D for them
  25. His plant foot slipped on a wet field where players were slipping all night. Not really going to hold that against him. I kicked on wet fields before and it's hard to find the right balance between making sure you stride far enough to generate enough power versus keeping your foot close enough so it doesn't slip. If he kicked that ball on a normal field I'd be with you. Slipping on a wet field? Nah, that can happen to any kicker in the league. As soon as he hit that ball I assumed his plant foot slipped and then I saw a replay where I could confirm it. He has looked very solid so far other than that idiotic kick out of bounds against the Cards.
