  1. Well, cross Robinson off the list... He just signed a 5 year deal with Jacksonville and Mr. Mularkey... https://twitter.com/#!/AdamSchefter/status/180058861514924032
  2. The dude better sign or this place could be a first for NFL forum mass suicide...
  3. Couldn't agree more... This whole time I've been wondering why Robinson's name hasn't come up. He'd be a great signing and proved last year that he's a red zone threat. He had 3 multi-TD games including games against the Bills and the Super Bowl Champs, the NY Giants.. Buffalo may not even go after him, especially based on the interest he's getting elsewhere.. but I can't believe he's not at least in the discussion.. particularly after they went after Meachem aggressively.
  4. I wouldn't break the bank and I'd make sure he's completely healthy (after wrist and neck injuries).. He's 32 and, I believe he still has some good years left in him.. So yes, I'd look at him as an option.. He could be a valuable weapon.. I have a feeling though he's going to cost too much considering the Bills other needs and Chandler being re-signed.
  5. Yes bbb, the Roundtable was a great show... Definitely some heavy hitters back in the day... I believe the 4th guy at that time was Kevin Silvestri (???) Not sure about his last name... Anyway, I still have some photos of me with all 4 of them... Van Miller was there too about to call the game... Why I didn't get a photo with Van, I'll never know.. But Larry F. was very nice... Talked to me in between breaks about covering the Bills and his career in journalism. Classy guy... and always great to talk to with Murph on MNQ.. He will be missed.
  6. I used to call in to MNQ quite a bit and met Larry once in the press box while he was doing the Sunday morning pre-game... His articles are still, to me, some of the best ever written on the Bills team and organization. Enjoy a well-deserved retirement Larry... You will be missed.
  7. And furthermore, :censored:
  8. As Bills fans, we know how Ravens fans are feeling about now... Tough loss for them.
  9. Hopefully now he can find some peace...
  10. Donahoe had full control over the decision making as president and GM when he was in Buffalo... He could have hired who he wanted.. He interviewed guys like Marvin Lewis and John Fox and passed them over for Gregg Williams.... Lewis has been HC for how many years now in Cincy? And just took a talented young team to the playoffs... Fox did the same in Carolina with several playoff bids and went to a SB... He's doing the same his first year in Denver... After these interviews and Williams hiring, Marvin Lewis' agent had this to say: http://abcnews.go.com/Sports/story?id=99873&page=1#.Twt17Bxy9j4 Hmmmm... Lack of consistent dialogue or communication with Donahoe?? Sounds like a complaint he got from a lot of people while here... along with a heightened sense of arrogance and refusal to take any advisement from others under consideration... It was his way or the highway... And choosing Williams over Lewis or Fox showed that he felt he was the smartest man in the room and needed to prove it to the world. As far as the Mularkey hiring, I'm still not sure if he would have been successful or not.. He seemed like a better hire than Williams.. But remember, Donahoe had a chance to hire Lovie Smith or Romeo Crennel too... We'll see if Crennel has success in KC, unlike Cleveland... But Lovie Smith, much like Fox, has had several playoff bids and a SB appearance in Chicago... Here's an article on Donahoe's options in 2004: http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/nfl/bills/2004-01-07-coaching-search_x.htm Also, Mularkey wanted Ken Whisenhunt (a great OC with Pit. which eventually got him the HC job in Arz.) as his OC... Donahoe overruled him and hired Tom Clements instead. All in all, the way I see it, he passed over some great opportunities to hire eventual successful HCs (and assistants) for guys he felt would make him look brilliant, ala the Bill Cowher hiring, if they worked out... He outsmarted himself... Here's one other good article on Donahoe's mistakes in Buffalo: http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2009/4/1/816875/seven-ways-donahoe-destroyed-the You'll notice Mistake #1, 6 & 7 are exactly what I'm talking about..
  11. My reply to him was very similar...
  12. I was literally just about to post this... Here's the actual quote from https://twitter.com/#!/mortreport
  13. I agree... Injuries and lack of depth have been a major concern for this regime... Nix is building from the ground up here and I believe the staff should be given another offseason or two to implement their strategy. This year's draft/FA will be a big one for this staff...
  14. I understand its a playoff game and all, but... What's the price progression going to be in 5-7 years on this pace..? I'm thinking $$$hubris$$$ Are you kidding? Parking companies' gotta get their share at the trough too... What, $50-$60 per vehicle perhaps..?
  15. Even with today's passing stats, he is one of the greatest receivers in the history of the game... He should have been in already.
  16. I agree with Dr. K and San Jose Bills Fan... As far as morale, I didn't really have any expectations coming into this season.. I thought it would be another bad year... The fast start surprised me, but didn't raise my expectations... I know with the Bills, a free fall can occur at any moment no matter how they start... As usual with this team, injuries certainly played a part and depth is always a concern... Especially with a new, rebuilding regime.. Haven't we seen this team lose at every level and in every way possible, no matter the improbability..? I'll never give up on this team, they are in my blood... But I've long since learned not to have high expectations. That way, if they finally do have a playoff season, I'll be pleasantly surprised.
  17. And just like that, its a game again...
